The incidents that happened in the previous chapters have left a deep impact on Asellus, and this impact has made him change for the better. Even though Avril has made a full recovery now, Asellus has still become determined to get stronger so that he can protect Avril on his own.

The Chapter opens up with Asellus storming into Avril’s room as he thinks that something happened to her. Asellus’ sad expression quickly fades away when he finds that Avril is completely fine.
He quickly rushes to Arvil’s side and tells her that he is quite worried about her. Seeing Asellus in such a sad state, Arvil starts to feel guilty even though she didn’t do anything.

After checking up on Avril, Asellus decides to leave so that Avril can rest in peace. Asellus starts walking away, but Avril suddenly hugs him from behind and stops him from going away.
Avril then apologizes to Asellus for making him worried. Asellus turns around and tells Avril that he just doesn’t want to lose anyone else in his life.
Avril gets a bit annoyed by Asellus as he gets too close to her and so Asellus just leaves without saying much. Asellus then sits outside of Avril’s room so that he can peacefully think about how he truly feels at the moment. Asellus feels anger and resentment towards Avril, but he also feels Joy and relief when he finds out that Avril is okay.
Asellus thinks that he may have mixed feelings about Avril, but the vague fear of never being able to see her is the most dominant of them all. Asellus wonders why he’s feeling this way even though his marriage with Avril is just a contract marriage that will end once they both grow up.
He believes that Avril shouldn’t have been forced into a marriage just because he needed to be married to become the head of the family.
Asellus remembers how Avril was childish when he first met her, but she constantly changed herself to act more mature and resolute. Avril became so mature that she made other people embarrassed. Asellus wonders if Avril changed so much just for his sake.
As this thought crosses Asellus’ mind, he gets filled with guilt as he thinks that he’s the reason Avril had to give up her happy life and become the hostess of the family overnight. After thinking about everything, Asellus finally feels a bit better and so he finally stands up and walks away from Arvil’s doorstep.
Asellus makes up his mind that he is never going to lose Avril because she has done so much for him. He also decides that he will become a strong adult so that he can protect Avril all by himself. Back in Avril’s room Avril starts to feel a bit sad because she thinks she made Asellus angry.
Avril thinks that she can’t even tell Asellus that the reason she froze from his touch is magic resistance. Avril wonders if she caused some misunderstanding between her and Asellus by acting like this, but there’s nothing she can do as she can’t just tell him about Yslut.
Avril lies down on her bed and thinks of how bad her day has been. Firstly she let Yslut get away from her even though it took a lot of effort to catch her in the first place. Secondly, she made Asellus angry because of a misunderstanding that she can’t even clear now.
Avril thinks that she should have asked the meaning of what Yslut said last time but now that Yslut is gone, it will take some time to catch her again. Avril believes that Yslut still follows her, so she should start finding her as soon as she gets better.
Avril knows that Yslut is a rabbit, so she will also love to have carrots and so she decides to use carrots to entice Yslut so that she can catch her. Yslut also lives in a cold place where carrots aren’t found, which makes Arvil’s plan even more solid.
