Apparently, his plan didn’t go as expected, and Sylvia never looked his way either way. So he got to thinking and devised a genius plan to meet Sylvia in another life in another world by trapping her in a constant cycle of rebirth. That was how Sylvia, who died before, came into existence.
Since she was born, Elam has loomed around her like a shadow and controlled every aspect of her life. He even managed to brainwash her maids and family, the people who are supposed to love her and turn them against her. Feeding her ungodly amounts of food and distorting her appearance was all his plan to make sure she grew up unloved.
So he can come swooping in like some knight to save his damsel in distress. Of course, he did not take into account that Sylvia wouldn’t pay him any attention. That was when the current Sylvia appeared, and she completely and coldly mocked and rejected Elam.
