In her recent appearance on the popular YouTube reality show “Jaefirends”, HyunaA revealed her thoughts on drinking and her image which shocks netizens. Jaefriend is a popular show which features the MC Kim Jae Jong who invites guests in each episode, cooks for them and forges a new friendship with them through talk.
Jae Jong has a goal of making 100 friends and therefore he is on his mission to collect popular TV personalities like Tablo, Moon Byul, Yoon Jeon Han, Xia and many more. In the show, they share their friendship stories and stuff along with Jae Jong cooking for them.
Recently on the 22nd episode of Jaefriend, worldwide sensational solo singer HyunA appeared as a guest. However, her interview with Jae Jong left Netizens and even Jae Jong shocked himself as she revealed she has tasted alcohol in a very long time.
HyunA was on top highlights a few months after her news of breaking up with Dawn came up and later the idol herself revealed through her social media handle. After her breakup, HyunA was quite inactive in the industry which she later best explained in the show.
Drinking Unfiltered
Upon being asked Jae Jong about her thoughts on drinking, HyunA says that she has never tasted alcohol in a very long time. She also says she was unaware of the fact that Soju [South Korean famous alcohol drink] could taste so sweet.
HyunA also continues to reveal that “she started drinking alcohol approximately after half a year and she did not know that the taste of soju could be so appealing to her. She describes soju as a surprisingly sweet alcohol and also shares how her sister has given her the nickname “Raw Liver”.
HyunA on Quest for New Connections
HyunA after having an appreciation for Soju reveals how she always wanted to appear on a show like this, since she wanted to come out of her comfort zone and make friends.
When Jae Jong says that she must have a lot of friends because of her career, HyunA says that “she hasn’t made many friends since she was young. The reason was mostly because the workplace staff were always the same and she got too attached to one person and therefore she never thought of making new friends.”
HyunA hopes to make more new friends which can give her the liberty to explore herself too and enjoy her life. She even asks Jae Jonng to invite her to the after-party because she is excited to make new friends.
Navigating Image and Style
Upon being asked by Jae Jong about HyunA being 170cm tall, HyunA reveals how she gets treated by people when someone passes by her. She always gets to hear, how tall she is but in reality, HyunA reveals her feet are only 210mm, which is quite shocking.
HyunA also responds to her style and public image expressing “She likes her style and image. After a lot of thought created her style for herself and depended upon her desire. No matter if people ask her to change her style to cute or simple, she can not adapt to the change.”

No doubt HyunA has opened up on many facts about her which fans were unaware of and that’s the reason there is a mixed reaction to that. Some fans relate to HyunA and still support her of what is she.
Whereas, some are offending her. Well in the entertainment industry, it’s quite common that if there is a difference there will be offenders too. One of the netizens commented “210? What’s her height?” and the other one said, “I bet if she tried the pure and cute image she would have become the best in that field too.”
