Reports suggest a potential collaboration between Hyun Bin and Jung Woo Sung in the upcoming drama “Made in Korea.” While Jung Woo Sung’s appearance is confirmed by the production company Hive Media Corp, Hyun Bin’s agency, VAST Entertainment, states that he is positively reviewing the offer.
“Made in Korea” is set against the backdrop of the tumultuous 1970s in Korea, portraying significant events of that era. Jung Woo Sung is set to portray Jang Geon Young, a prosecutor known for his animal-like instincts and tenacity.
The directorial helm of the series rests in the capable hands of Woo Min Ho, known for his work in films such as “Inside Men,” “The Drug King,” and “The Man Standing Next.” Despite earlier speculation that “Made in Korea” is a spin-off from the film “The Drug King,” Hive Media Corp clarified that it is an entirely distinct project.
Hyun Bin’s agency, VAST Entertainment, revealed that while he has received an offer to star in “Made in Korea,” no final decision has been made, and he is currently in a positive review process. Last year, both actors collaborated in director Woo Min Ho’s film “Harbin,” where Hyun Bin completed filming, and Jung Woo Sung is set to make a special appearance. The film is scheduled for release within the current year.
“Made in Korea” is gearing up for filming, set to commence this summer. As fans eagerly await updates, the potential pairing of Hyun Bin and Jung Woo Sung in this historical drama adds excitement and anticipation for what promises to be a significant addition to the Korean television landscape. Stay tuned for further developments in this intriguing collaboration.
