There are a lot of ways to watch Under Ninja Episodes. You can watch Under Ninja on your TV or stream it, and we will look into all of them. Under Ninja, manga has finally got its anime adaptation, and anime fans can experience its weird and out-of-the-world comedy along with its brutal actions.
In this anime, we see Kurou Kumogakure, who is a non-career ninja. He’s a low-level ninja who basically does freelance jobs whenever they arise, but mostly, he just lays around doing absolutely nothing.
Kato, a full-time career Ninja, visits Kurou again, his first mission in quite a while, “the dangerous Ninja mission of infiltrating… a high school”. With the help of his drunken neighbor Kawado, pretending to be Kurou’s mother, he registers for high school and begins to prepare for his big Ninja mission. And things just get weirder after this.
Under Ninja Episode 1 Plot
This story does not skip out on the violence and general badassery. We jump right into the action with the first few scenes following a group of American troops storming a warehouse in search of a suspected bomb maker.

When they get into the warehouse, they find the bomb maker sitting at his desk with half of his head cleanly Cut off, and his thumb also cut off to prevent it from hitting The detonator, and all the American troops can do, of course, is standing there, slack jawed, embarrassed, emasculated in their little baby infant attempt to stop a bomb maker. Who else could cut off a head cleanly like that? None other than a ninja.
Meanwhile, a foreign man enters Japan with the clothes on his back, a limited understanding of the Japanese language, and a deep desire to become a Ninja.
He’s just like me, for real. In his search to make contact with Ninja so he can join the ninja organization and become a ninja, he comes across some graffiti that gets lost in translation, leading him to believe (and no, I’m not making this up) f he cuts off three penises, he’ll be able to join the ranks of a ninja.
We soon learn that the foreigner is part of a criminal organization that has kidnapped his daughter and held her hostage until he goes to Japan and infiltrates the organization of ninjas.
Shortly after reports of a foreigner running around cutting ding dongs, Kato visits Kurou again to give him one more mission: to find the foreigner and snuff him out in three days’ time.
That’s when he notices the clothing that he delivered to Kurou for his first mission: high-grade Ninja equipment higher than that given to ninjas abroad fighting terrorism. Leading Kato to wonder what dangers are around the corner in his quiet home country of Japan.
The Oddities
It really hits all those sweet spots that Hanazawa manga is known for, especially in the underdog character of Kurou, who, by the way, I thought was a grown man, as did other characters in the manga, but he turned out to be 17.
And Kurou echoes a sort of similar sentiment with youth in Japan and that they want to work, but there are really not that many jobs. And I love how they frame Kurou’s character because it sets up the social structure. Ninjas and their role in modern society.
Under Ninjas does a perfect job of setting up the characters, the setting, and the larger scope of the story. We’re introduced to a wide cast of characters.
Now, it wouldn’t be a Kengo Hanazawa story without a few comedic oddities. For example, we first meet Kurou’s neighbor, Kawado, while she’s on the toilet and she’s out of toilet paper. So she says, “Hey, can you pass me some toilet paper.”
Instead of doing that awkward thing where you jam your hand through the little crack in the door and hand them toilet paper and then kind of sheepishly walk away like you didn’t hear or smell anything? Kurou breaks into the bathroom, does some sick parkour maneuvers, and then hands off the toilet paper, all in an effort to not look at her and then just looks at her anyway.
Then we meet a homeless man who’s offering children in a park breast milk. And it’s not really clear where that breast milk came from. But he ends up being a top-ranked former ninja with unparalleled ninja skill.
There’s also some kind of weird stuff with Kurou and his neighbor. His neighbor had stolen a bra, and he was trying it on, and then Kurou took it back, and then he tried it on. It’s all kind of off-putting and is kind of funny.
But perhaps my favorite comedic oddity with this story involving the foreigner is that he is successful in severing at least one dick. And it isn’t shown, so don’t worry. You don’t have to go into this looking at a dismembered doodle.
But in passing conversations and on news reports, they talk about what happened. And he basically cut this guy’s dick off and then used it to write on the wall in three different languages, “I want to be a ninja.” And to add insult to injury, they added that the penis was so mashed up that it couldn’t be reattached.
There’s also this hilarious acronym that the Foreigner uses for the word ninja that reminds me of early 2000s Fox Kids dubbed anime, and it is a nimble, invisible, nocturnal Japanese agent.

How To Watch Under Ninja Episodes?
You can watch Under Ninja Season 1 Episodes on AT-X every Thursday at 1:30 PM JST in Japan. But if you somehow missed Under Ninja Episodes while they were airing on TV or you just like to watch Under Ninja on your own time online, then don’t worry. There are several streaming options available for you.
First of all, you can stream Under Ninja episodes any time you want on Crunchyroll. And the good thing is that Crunchyroll is available in most of the countries. If Crunchyroll isn’t available in your country, then you can try using a VPN to tackle the geolocation problem.
Crunchyroll’s entry-level plan is totally free. You can access some “season samplers” with advertisements that let you watch the first three episodes of a limited number of shows for free by merely creating an account.
However, neither the manga library nor all of the shows on the platform are accessible to free members. New subscribers can sign up for a free trial period of fourteen days of Crunchyroll premium to get a taste of the complete service.
After the free trial has expired, there are two tiers of Crunchyroll Premium available in the UK. The most affordable choice is a “Fan” subscription, which costs £4.99 per month (and it is $7.99 in the US) and provides access to all shows as well as the digital manga collection on a single device without advertisements.
For an additional £1 per month (or $9.99 in the US), you can upgrade to a “Mega Fan” subscription plan, which adds offline access to the list of options above and allows users to stream content across a total of four devices at once. You can save around £1 each month if you pay £59.99 for the yearlong “Mega Fan” subscription.
