After a wait of almost a year after its announcement, Stardust Telepath is finally set to make its way to the streaming platforms this Monday, October 09. The series will have a 12-episode run with the possibility of a season 2 sometime in the future, as the manga has still not ended.
Stardust Telepath anime is based on the manga series written and illustrated by Rasuko Okuma. The Manga began its serialization in 2019 through the magazine Manga Time Kirara. With only four volumes and 40 chapters as of October 2023, this manga still has a long way to go, which is great news for the fans.
The series is being animated by Studio Gokumi with Kaori and Natsuko Takahashi as the director and screenwriter, respectively. Natsuko Takahashi is well known in the anime world for his work in the Bleach Hell Verse Movie!
The Story of Stardust Telepath revolves around a teenage girl named Konohoshi Umika. Umika is a character who will be very relatable for introverts as she is someone who struggles in life due to her bad communication skills. Daydreaming about a fantasy world and talking to herself is something Umika does a lot. She even starts to believe that she might be an alien, which is weird but funny.
Umika’s wildest imagination comes true when she meets Akeuchi Yuu, a girl who claims to be a real alien! For Umika, who always dreamed of having the power of telepathy to avoid communicating with people, this was a miracle indeed, as Yuu turned out to be in possession of this power. A girl who couldn’t communicate properly her entire life and an alien who can use telepathy is quite an interesting plot indeed.

Stardust Telepath Episode 1: Spoilers
Stardust Telepath Episode 1 will kick off the anime with an introduction of the protagonist, Konohoshi Umika. A girl whose words don’t reach anyone, she wonders if there is anyone in the entire universe who would hear her voice. Umika would create fictional aliens in her mind to ease her anxiety as she would talk with them instead of real people.
The first scene will be from Umiko’s first day at school, and let’s just say it will be disastrous. Getting yelled at on the first day of school and then struggling to respond is a truly embarrassing moment. Umiko wonders if there’s a place somewhere where she could be at peace, even if it’s not on Earth. Just when Umika thinks about aliens, Akeuchi Yuu comes barging into the classroom and announces that she’s an alien.
Naturally, No one believes Yuu, but as Umiko is an overthinker, she starts to wonder if Yuu is truly an alien. Umiko learns the cosmic language to conversate with Yuu, but she fails because of her anxiety. Just when Umiko decides to give up, Yuu pulls her closer and reads her thoughts via telepathy. And that’s how folks begin the friendship of an earthling and an alien.
