Back with more thrilling stories of crime and the entire detective gig, Shadow Detective is all set to release its second season in early July 2023. The show has been made carefully under the direction of director Han Dong Hwa along with screenplay writer Lim Chang Se; the series follows detective Taek Rok and how this time, he will have to solve a case from his past before it is too late.
The makers of the series have cast actor Lee Sung Min for the role of the main detective Kim Taek Rok alongside Kyung Soo Jin as Lee Sung Ah, Lee Hak Joo as Son Kyung Chan, Kim Shin Rok as Yeon Joo Hyun, Jung Jin Young as Choi Do Hyung, among other talented actors. The show is intense and complex and does not play around with its plotline either.
Fans have taken a liking to the show because of its gripping storytelling abilities and because of its inherent ability to keep you eager and on your toes, constantly waiting for what might happen next. Fans can rejoice as the show is back with another season, once again full of all sorts of intriguing character arcs and plotlines.
Shadow Detective Season 2: The Plot
The second season of this show might as well have been one of the most anticipated shows of this year, and the open ending of the first season did not make the wait any better. But fans can take a breath of relief as season two seems to back with a full package of drama, thriller, and eye-scratching story, along with answers to all of our questions from the previous season.
Season two has Detective Taek Rok almost retiring and taking a breather to look back on his very successful career in the police force, but it is impossible that the man will be left alone as he soon ends up getting framed for a murder that he knows he did not commit. He knows he is being framed but by who? That is what he will figure out in season two of the show.
The people that Detective Taek Rok suspected of framing him for the murder were either proven innocent or were killed themselves. He finds himself being blackmailed by someone who calls himself ‘friend’, and Taek Rok will have to up his game and give it his all to disprove the murder charges and put this secret friend behind bars.
The stories from the previous will continue in this season as well, and most of the characters, at least the ones the makers kept alive till now, will also be back along with some new additions to the season.
Shadow Detective Season 2: Episode Timings
The second season will be back on our screens on July 5th, 2023, and following this, new episodes for this thrilling series will be released on Wednesdays, every week till the launch of the finale. The season will have a total of eight episodes, all with a running time of no more than an hour.
