Revenge storylines will always remain iconic, and MBN’s latest series, Perfect Marriage Revenge, showcases this plot in the best way possible. With Jung Yoo Min and Sung Hoon as the lead casts, this romance drama perfectly captures the essence of making someone taste their own medicine, in this case, Yi Joo’s abusive family members.
Perfect Marriage Revenge has a touch of fantasy, and that’s what makes it more exciting and unpredictable. After being treated horribly by her adoptive family, Han Yi Joo finds herself completely heartbroken and betrayed.
Han Yi Joo is unjustly framed by Lee Jung Hye, while her two-faced husband, Se Hyeok, reveals that he loves Yi Joo’s sister. On the same day, Han Yi Joo gets into a brutal accident, breaking most of her bones and damaging her organs.
However, instead of passing away at the hospital, Han Yi Joo finds herself back in the past and decides to use this opportunity to take revenge on everyone who took advantage of her good character and kind personality.
Besides Sung Hoon and Jung Yoo Min, the rest of the cast of Perfect Marriage Revenge consists of Jin Ji Hee as Han Yoo Ra, Kang Shin Hyo plays Seo Jung Wook, Seung Yun plays Yoo Se Hyeok and Lee Min Young plays Lee Jung Hye, Yi Joo’s rude mother.
About The Show
Based on Young and Lee Beom Bae’s webtoon, this time travel drama series revolves around Han Yi Joo, a painter who lived all her life trying to please her adoptive family, more specifically, her adoptive mother.
Her new parents are Han Jin Woong and Lee Jung Hye, but despite always being a good girl and disregarding their rude remarks, Han Yi Joo is treated in the worst way by her mother. Her younger sister, Han Yoo Ra, isn’t any better and often sides with her mom while degrading Yi Joo.
Despite all of this, Yi Joo manages to fall in love with Jung Se Hyeok and marries him, only to later find out that he only married her to be close to Yoo Ra. At an art gallery exhibition by the Hanwool Financial Group, Yi Joo’s mother ends up framing her in a case of forgery and fraud.
Betrayed by both her mother and Se Hyeok, Han Yi Joo gets into her car to clear her mind and is later involved in a fatal accident. Yi Joo is immediately admitted to the hospital, but her mother arrives and belittles her before she seemingly passes away.
Yi Joo later wakes up in 2022, a year before the accident happened. This time, Yi Joo decides not to be kind to those who take her for granted and takes her sweet revenge on everyone with Seo Do Guk on her side.
