My Home Hero is a suspense thriller drama originally adapted from one of the popular action manga series of the same name, “My Home Hero,” written by Yamakawa Naoki and illustrated by Asaki Masashi.
There is an anime version for the mange, too, which was loved by many anime fans. Because of the hooked plotline and thrilling action, the makers have decided to bring a series version for the television audience.
The cast of the drama is just perfect which includes Sasaki Kuranosuke in the role of Tosu Tetsuo, Takahashi Kyohei in the role of Majima Koyichi, Saito Asuke in the role of Tosu Reika, Kimura Tae in the role of Tosu Kasen and many other excellent supporting actors.
This criminal drama is full of action, bloodshed, twists, and some beautiful OSTs. It’s a perfect must-watch for all the crime drama fans. Plot
My Hero Home follows the journey of a father who can go to lengths to protect his daughter and keep his family in peace at all costs. The main protagonist of the story is Tosu Tetsuo, who is a normal salaryman who works as a manager at a toy company.
His only treasure is his family; despite being stressed from work, he never compromises with his family. He gets concerned when he learns that his young adult daughter is dating a man. Like all fathers, he also gets concerned over her daughter’s relationship.
Tetsuo is now alarmed that her only daughter, Reika, is in grave danger, and dreadful fate is waiting for her. Disturbed, Tetsuo gets into a fight with Nobuto and kills him with one blow. With the aid of his wife, Tosu Kasen, Tetsuo decides to hide Nobuto’s body to come clean.
But things get complicated when they discover that Nobuto is actually the only son of Yoshitatsu Matori, who is the local yakuza head and is the most powerful man in the city. Nobuto’s disappearance makes him anxious, and he orders all his syndicates to find him in all matters.
On the other hand, Tetsuo, who is the actual perpetrator, feels guilty for killing a human, and his mental health starts deteriorating day by day from the guilt and fear of being caught.

For international fans, My Home Hero is made available on Hulu App. But one needs to have a subscription to watch the drama hassle-free on Hulu with English subtitles. The drama will be available on Disney+hotstar, but only in a few regions.
