Dick Wolf’s LA Fire and Rescue Episode 1 will be released by NBC this week. This series is a front-row seat to the daily activities of the members of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. NBC decided to host this unscripted show this season when the channel is currently on its summer break.
We will see the inner workings of the Los Angeles County Fire Department and how everything is managed there, according to a press release for the program. Fifty-nine cities in the county that fall under geographical locations are under the institution’s jurisdiction. The team also has an elite rescue force that offers services like lifeguard beach SOS and mountain rescues.
LA Fire and Rescue Preview
The series features Captain Mike Carolan leading his firefighter team and carrying on the legacy of his family. We also get a glimpse of Dave Castellanos, a cancer survivor and fellow fighter.
Captain Carolan’s leadership skills are unparalleled, and his loyalty is unmatched. His son has joined the LA County Fire Department as a rookie, trying to follow in his father’s footsteps.
The documentary showcases different firehouses, including West Hollywood’s Station 8 on the Sunset Strip. They often face complex cases requiring them to navigate high-rise apartment fires.
Station 16, located in Watts, is referred to as ‘The Island of Misfit Toys,’ with a lively squad that enjoys having fun outside of frontline duties. The team is led by Captain Dan Olivas, who leads with heart and mentors the squad to perform at their best.
