She is a troubled kid and is seeking guidance. These three leads affect his mind from left to right. We see Barthes dealing with the death of his mother who committed suicide.
Henry finds various aspects of his personality that he never knew existed. He also is struggling with the impending death of his beloved grandfather. Throughout the movie, the audience is allowed to see flashbacks of Henry as a young child. We also see various random moments from his mother’s suicide.
Other than that, the story also shifts its focus to another character named Dr. Parker. She is the counselor at the school. The school principal also appears in the narrative. She is quite a tough woman and generally overlooks the flawed system that they have at the school. The cast sees Adrien Brody in the lead role as Henry Barthes. Then we have Marcia Gay Harden enacting the character of Principal Carol Dearden.
