Clanul is a Romanian series that released its first episode on September 19, 2022. It has since been 5 months since it’s official release with Season 1 ending on 12th December 2022. The first season of Clanul had 13 episodes with each episode lasting around 120 mins.
Revolving around the feud between the mafia and the police, Clanul is full of thrill and intense scenes but also has a romantic aspect to spice up the story even more. Synopsis
Tudor, our protagonist, had aspirations of becoming a police officer. However, things changed, and he found himself in legal trouble. In other words, he was kicked out of the Police Academy before he had even started. The vigorous practice and intense training he went through all turned out in vain.
It turns out that he threatened the city’s commissioner while he was still a student because he felt uneasy and threatened for his people because of the whole corrupt system that operates in the commissioner’s presence.
This incident was clearly going to have a very negative impact on Tudor and his future plans. This experience gave him a taste of reality. After the whole incident, Tudor began a new chapter in his life when he was put in jail after he had threatened the commissioner.
He befriends a mafia organization during his stay in the jail, making friends with them. Tatutu and Bebe Macelaru were the leaders of this gang. Tudor’s culture, loyalty, and respect are currently the only things that hold true to his prior existence in his heart. He is willing to do anything to accomplish what he has set out to do.
Aside from this, the story also follows the hardships and struggles that Tudor’s mother, Luminita faces. Having lost her first child before, she felt as if Tudor’s visit to the jail was equivalent to the loss of her second child too.
What will become of Tudor? Will he be able to go against the corrupt system that comes under the powerful authorities? Will his relations with the Mafia help him accomplish his goal or will it become a hinderance in his journey?
