How To Live As A Villain Chapter 83: Recap
In the previous chapters, we saw Sunghoon and Jack come face to face to close off their deal of the fire heart but Sunghoon thought two steps ahead of Jack and manipulated him into breaking the “fair deal” rules which put a curse on him cutting down his skills by 1% every minute. Sunghoon also manages to use the hatred of Jack’s subordinates towards him to manipulate them into attacking Jack instead. All this trickery has triggered Jack and he decides to take revenge.
Jack send Hejes after the sniper so that he could focus on fighting Sunghoon or Ghost. The sniper, Elly gets an intruder alert as Hejes enters her building and she prepares herself to face him as she realizes how strong Hejes truly is. The surroundings in the building change which surprises Hejes as he suddenly gets attacked by a pipe bomb which makes him realize that it’s not just magic at play here.
Hejes gets swarmed by a bunch of zombies forcing him to use his skill “dance of death”. Elly uses her trump card and sends out a mentally unstable berserker to fight Hejes. She also joins Berserker by using her magic and finally puts an end to Hejes. Meanwhile, Sunghoon is still on the run from Jack who is struggling because of Elly’s support being cut off. He decides to fight Jack as his last resort.
Jack realizes that the curse has been taking a lot out of him and he would probably die at this rate. Sunghoon taunts him to stop pushing so hard which triggers Jack even more and he uses his demon transformation skill which increases all of his stats by 200%. Sunghoon gets a bit scared at this sudden change and decides to use a divine skill to neutralise the demon transformation but Jack evades his skill using his insane speed. Sunghoon realizes how horrifying this transformation is and tries to avoid any openings.
Sunghoon attacks Jack full force but his sword gets stopped by Jack’s single finger then proceeds to grab Sunghoon’s face and slam him into a wall. Jack breaks Sunghoon’s mask while explaining that he only kept him alive for so long to find out who is behind the Ghost mask. Sunghoon starts laughing as blood spills from his head which confuses Jack.
Sunghoon proceeds to slam his head into Jack many times more, each time getting more damage while Jacks just stands there clueless thinking Sunghoon has gone insane. Gradually Sunghoon reaches the damage required to activate his skill “appearance of a hero” which exponentially increases his stats making him able to slice off Jack’s finger. Jack catches on but it’s too late as he gets caught in hell fire, a divine skill which neutralizes his demon transformation returning him to his normal self.
Jack starts laughing and cursing Sunghoon for being too naive as he would just heal his wounds and get normal again but he soon finds out that he is standing inside the trap laid out by Sunghoon as he gets blown up by it.
