How To Live As A Bootleg Healer is a story of transmigration to a fantasy world. Our protagonist is Kang Song-Huyn. Along with several other humans, he, too, was transported to the Mysterious Azul Continent. A land riddled by monsters and polluted lands. Suffice it to say it’s very difficult for a regular person to survive in these harsh lands. Lucky for them, they are not regular humans.
Each person who transmigrated was bestowed the System. A classic addition to transmigration stories. Furthermore, they have also been assigned jobs and have skills related to the profession they were assigned. Our Protaganist Kang Song-Huyn was given the title of a Healer. Or was he? His title had a question mark on it, and as far as we know, he is the only one with it.
Furthermore, he has no Heal abilities even though he is a Healer. Another Skill unique to Song-Huyn is that he does not consume any Mana at all. Just because he does not have something that can be classified as a traditional Heal Ability doesn’t stop him from helping people. Song-Huyn has several Health Care related abilities which are very useful in emergencies.
His powers include but are not limited to scanning a person’s body and diagnosing exactly what’s wrong with them, stopping any type of bleeding instantaneously, ability to stitch up wounds with precision, ability to absorb potions and expel them with increased potency, and so much more. He also has several attack-type skills, which help him hold his own against most monsters.
How To Live As A Bootleg Healer Recap – What To Know Before Reading Chapter 9?
Kang Song-Huyn attended a quest to kill a rare beast and was successful. His party members were subdued because they didn’t listen to his advice and jumped in without preparation. Song-Huyn had to come to bail them out. He was able to defeat the monster all on his own. As a reward, the system gave him the skill “Throw”; however it has a star next to it.
After talking with Kim Jung-Ho, another person who transmigrated like him, it is revealed that the skill might have something to do with returning to his original world. Song-Huyn plans to subdue more rare monsters hoping to gain more of these skills with a star. The next day to earn some quick points Song-Huyn set up a shop that offered to heal injuries for cheap.
The adventurers that came across it all ridiculed him as he did not have healing skills. However, adventurers are not his targeted customers. It’s the regular folk. Since he offers his skills for cheap and is willing to barter, he receives a lot of customers and successfully accumulates over 170 points in a couple of hours. It was then Richard Iarev, a Noble, approached him.
Richard is the youngest son of the Noble Iarev family and is looking to employ his services. However, due to his rude behavior, Song-Huyn declines his offer. It was then a small child carrying another child who came to his shop in a Panic. his little sister’s finger was almost severed while using a sickle. Song-Huyn starts his treatment only for Richard to ridicule him.
He claims that only healers can fix an injury of this nature. Furthermore, Richard adds that if Song-Huyn helps him, he will heal the child. He declines that offer too. Song-Huyn is confident in his abilities. Richard bets his lucky necklace that Song-Huyn will fail. Not being one to back off from challenges Song-Huyn agrees, but only if Richard agrees to heal commoners for free.
Richard agrees, stating that should he fail Song-Huyn should help him, and he should stop referring to himself as a healer. They agreed, and Song-Huyn started to work. He makes a thread out of Mana using his thread-making skill, then stitches up her severed finger using his stitching skill. Before long, he had successfully reattached the almost severed finger.
