How To Fight Chapter 216 opens up with Bomi watching a television broadcast to know how her friends are doing when she suddenly finds a new that makes her heart skip a beat.
The people in the news section start to discuss someone’s death, and to Bomi’s sadness, this someone is none other than her closest friend(probably) Yoo Hobin.

Despite this news spreading like wildfire, Bomi and all of Yoo Hobin’s friends were confident that Hobin was still alive and that he was still somewhere out there.
The focus shifts to the port, where all the boats have started to return, and Yoo Hobin’s group is standing on the shore to wait for the arrival of their friends. Sadly only Jihyeok and Taehoon return, and they look pretty beat up.
The Marines on the port start discussing the rumors about Yoo Hobin and so Gaeul asks Jihyeok to tell her what happened to him. Jihyeok doesn’t understand what Gaeul means because he hasn’t heard the rumors, so he just tells her that Hobin will return with team 2. Gyeol approaches Jihyeok to break the sad news to him.
Gyeol tells Jihyeok that Hobin’s boat has exploded. Jihyeok’s eyes widen as he couldn’t believe what Gyeol said and he quickly turns towards Gaeul to ask her if this is true. Gaeul stays silent, and soon team 2 returns to the port. Jihyeok, Gaeul, and everyone rushes towards the ship to see if Hobin has returned.
The Marine from team 2 tells Jihyeok that all the people who were on the ship have gone missing and that they haven’t been found despite their best efforts. Jihyeok starts to tear up, and he bows down to the police officer and requests him to find Yoo Hobin. Deep in his heart, Jihyeok knows that Hobin is still alive and that he will return.
Much time goes by since that incident and Choi Bomi recalls how Hobin changed everything. She says that most of the evil doers have received the punishment they deserved, leaving the world in turmoil. Everything regarding Lee Jinho was also revealed to the public which led to a lot of powerful people getting arrested.
While walking down the road, Bomi sees a man dressed as a teddy bear, and she starts to see Hobin, but sadly it’s someone else. The Man in the teddy bear suit asks Bomi if she has a boyfriend, and Bomi refuses by saying that she’s married. She still remembers that Hobin hasn’t returned yet, and she truly believes that one day he will come back.
Bomi arrives at Hobin’s house with some food for Hobin’s mother. Hobin’s mother tells Bomi that she doesn’t need to do so much for her but Bomi argues that she just wants her to be healthy so that she can welcome her son on his return. After having lunch and a heartfelt conversation with Hobin’s mother, Bomi sets out to meet her friend group.
To her surprise, Bomi finds that Jihyeok, Gaeul, and the others have started happily decorating a Christmas tree as if nothing has happened. Bomi gets heartbroken after seeing everyone like this and so she silently leaves. Jihyeok notices Bomi leaving, so he stops her and asks her if she’s disappointed because they are all acting as if everything’s okay.
Jihyeok tells Bomi that they haven’t forgotten Hobin, but they can’t just sit around waiting for him as if he’ll just return someday. He then tells Bomi to celebrate Christmas with them the next day without fail. Suddenly it starts raining, and everyone rushes to find an umbrella.
Gaeul decides to give an umbrella to Bomi, but Jihyeok stops her as he knows that Bomi must be crying. As Bomi starts to cry while remembering Hobin, suddenly someone covers her head, and this someone is none other than Hobin himself.
Everyone gets overjoyed at Hobin’s return, but they all soon turn serious when they ask him what happened. Hobin says that he also doesn’t know what happened.
