In Diablo 4, players get to slay demons, spawns of Hell, and endless waves of monsters with gratifying, righteous rage. Along with the minions of Hell, Diablo 4 includes many epic Wars. Some are triggered by progressing the main mission, while others can be found in the game with things like World Bosses and events.
Given how little you’ll have to play with and how rusty you be with your abilities, Diablo 4’s early sections are a little on the easy side. The training wheels have come off when you face Vhenard, a mother who is one of Lilith’s servants.
The final boss of Act I’s The Cost of Knowledge quest in Diablo 4 is Vhenard. Throughout the quest, you have to find Vhenard, Neyrell’s mother. However, it’s too late when you find her. As a result of Lilith’s corruption, she summons demonic minions to attack you.
You won’t face the boss in this war. As an alternative, you must defeat three waves of demon aides. Although these demons are typical adversaries, a few surprises make this battle challenging.
You will struggle to avoid the incoming sources of damage in Vhenard’s small, crowded arena. In this guide, we’ll go over how to defeat Vhenard in the game.

Where to find Vhenard?
You must begin the “Cost of Knowledge” quest to find Vhenard. It is A Cold and Iron Faith, the eighth quest they gave you in Act I. To begin this quest, you must be at least level 5.
This quest immediately follows the “Storming the Gate” quest in the narrative. You will find yourself in a dungeon when this quest is complete. Continue walking down the corridor of that dungeon. After the healing well, Vhenard will be there, along with a severed corpse.
The map’s circled area can be easily searched to find her location. A cutscene and the war will start after your face-off with Vhenard.
How to Beat Vhenard?
Phase-I
The first phase of Vhenard is a primer for the following two. While you can harm her directly, eliminating the enemies she summons is the only way to lower her health bar. Only two Hell Spawn, smaller winged demons connected to Vhenard’s shield by a blood tether, will be summoned here.
Hell Spawn switch between melee attacks with their claws and long-range lighting orb shooting. They aren’t dangerous on their own, but they have plenty of health, and you must kill them both to move on to the next stage.
The spinning energy beams that come from Vhenard’s blood shield are the real issue in all phases. Not only will these reduce your health, but they’ll make you vulnerable, weakening all of your defenses.
You can move around them to dodge through them or avoid them, but you’ll need to learn how to do it quickly while still dealing damage to the two Hell Spawns. You should use the Sorcerer class for the battle, and I’d suggest Ice or Fire because the former offers some crowd control and survivability while the latter deals with massive damage.
Phase-II
The fight’s second phase is an extension of the first. This time, three Hellspawn and five Hellion beasts will show up to power the boss’s shield. Quickly remove the Hellions because they are only a hindrance. With three of them present, the Hell Spawn can now shoot several electrical orbs at once, so expect plenty of those to avoid.
Running into one of the spinning laser beams only makes it vanish, leaving the other one to continue moving toward you. The spinning laser beams are now composed of two lengths of energy attached by a central point.
If you’re unlucky, Vhenard will send out two or three beams, covering the entire width of the arena. Since you only have two dashes and they have a short cooldown, use them wisely to avoid running out of options for movement.
Phase-III
You must remain mobile to complete this third phase, and instead of focusing on the enemies, find the lasers and blood tethers that connect Vhenard and the Hell Spawn. If you have any AoE attacks, use them. If you prefer single-target combat, focus on taking out the high-value targets, the Pit Beast and Hell Spawn, as quickly as you can.
If you fail to defeat this phase a few times, don’t worry too much. Start again, and you will defeat Vhenard.
