ITV has confirmed that the TV presenters will take a break after the 2024 series. Ant and Dec stated that reaching the milestone of the 20 series felt like the perfect time to pause and catch their breath.
This isn’t the first hiatus for the show; it previously took a break in 2009, returning in 2013.
The duo expressed the need for a break from the show, citing its significant time commitment. Ant highlighted the importance of pausing after the 20 series, while Dec emphasized making the 20th series memorable.

They promised special retrospectives and new segments. To participate in the final series before the break, apply through the usual channels.
“We love making Saturday Night Takeaway, but reaching the milestone of 20 series seemed like the perfect time to pause for a little while and catch our breath,” McPartlin said.
Donnelly said: “We still have a momentous 20th series to look forward to first so we will do our best to go out (for now) with a bang in 2024.”
