Holly Willoughby is seen for the first time in public since she quit ‘This Morning.’
Since quitting the show in October, almost after more than two months, Holly has been spotted outside, and it seems like she’s trying to feel her spirits again this holiday season by spending time with her family and friends.
Back in October, she had gone undercover and wasn’t seen making public appearances just after it was unveiled that there had been a plot against Holly to kidnap her. Gavin Plumb from Harlow, Essex, was found to be accused of having plans to murder and intentions of kidnapping the presenter.
Keeping her and her family’s safety a priority, Holly made the toughest decision for any person. Holly had quit this morning’s show for the sake of safety and went lying low. Ever since her decision, she has resided at her London home along with her husband, Dan Baldwin (49), and her three children, Harry (14), Belle (12), and Chester (8).
Since Holly quit, there’s been no word of confirmation whether she will appear in the upcoming new series of Dancing on Ice. Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield hosted the series as hosts. Following Holly’s departure, Phillip, the co-host, also took the departure from the hosting position of Dancing on Ice.
Phillip’s departure is not said to be in relation to Holly’s quit, but after he admitted that he was involved in a relationship with a junior member of staff, which was unwise and not illegal, according to the presenter.
Holly was undoubtedly a glowing star of This Morning, as she is said to have brought life to the show. Dr. Ranj Singh and Holly, who had hosted the series together, are willing to have her back on his side as co-hosts of This Morning.
Dr. Ranj said, “Of course, she will come back to TV. She’s too good not to. I don’t know where or what show, but she’s so good at it, it would be a shame for her to back away completely,” to Closer while expressing his will to have Holly back as a co-host.
Alas! Dr. Ranj’s wish will not be fulfilled, as Holly had already made it clear in October by making a post on her Instagram account saying, “I’ve let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning. To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so much. This is such a difficult goodbye; you are incredible, and I will forever be proud of what we’ve done together.”
Further in the post, she shared her gratitude to everyone at iTV for being supportive. She added, “To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you. Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive, and the very best company every day.”
Holly said, “Richard and Judy said, ‘We only look after this show; it will always belong to the viewers.’ It’s been an honor to just be part of its story.” Holly concluded her message by mentioning that there are still many chapters and stories, but for the sake of her and her family, she has to make this tough decision, due to which she’ll no longer be a part of it.
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield hosted This Morning until Philip’s departure from the series in May 2023. Later, the presenter joined Phillip to host Dancing on Ice. Holly has shared her decision to not be a part of This Morning, but no words have been shared about her decision to host Dancing on Ice. The audience is hoping for the TV star to appear on the show in the upcoming 2024 series.
