You know what! Hoda Kotb just spilled the tea.
Yeah, but wait, it is not the gossip she revealed, but she accidentally spilled the tea/coffee. We all have unintentionally spilled our cup of coffee or tea in the morning. Perhaps more frequently than we’d like to confess. If you connect with this, you will know exactly how Hoda Kotb felt.
On live air, the journalist had this incredibly relatable accident, as witnessed by viewers of the Today show. She handled the situation, though, like the seasoned veteran that she is, and soon moved on.
On Tuesday, October 3rd, during the morning broadcast, the seasoned anchor unintentionally bumped her tea mug, causing some of the liquid to spill across the news desk.
Hoda instantly apologized after the incident, saying, “Sorry, sorry!” Savannah Guthrie, her co-host, made the joking remark as she sat next to her, “We need a cleanup in aisle one!” Then, with a smile, Hoda said, “Can I just mention, this mug is enormous—it’s really big.”
Hoda gracefully managed the mishap
Craig Melvin, the third co-host, who was seated on the other side of the table, got up from his chair and used his gentlemanly behavior to assist Hoda in cleaning up the liquid spill.
Hoda, who has worked in journalism for decades and first joined NBC News in 1998 as a Dateline journalist, swiftly put the incident behind her. With her years of experience, she quickly recovered and introduced the following item on the agenda.
Guthrie, who collaborates with Kotb on a professional level as well as personally, expressed her feelings about co-hosting the morning show last year. She expressed her appreciation for their regular working relationship and the pleasure of having a job that she actually enjoyed.
She also stated the value of working with a reliable buddy and expressed her gratitude for the chance to face each morning together. She was astounded that their ideal union had come to pass.
