Everything has an agenda: be it life or tasks. While some of them are direct, others might have a Hidden Agenda. Following this theme, the Thai drama Hidden Agenda made its way to the screens this July.
Premiering on 9 July 2023, it has made us fall in love all over again. The Thai drama might not be one of the most fresh and new concepts ever to be presented. However, the flirtatious chemistry of our main leads, Joong and Dunk, seen in the first episode, is something we cannot miss.
Love, hate, tension, cute moments, and occasional laughter pangs await in the upcoming episodes as well. Here, we will discuss all you need to know about Hidden Agenda Episode 2.
Hidden Agenda Plot Synopsis
Zo and Joke are high school students. They have shared a beef since the beginning. Despite the hate the two share, they have something more in common, a beautiful girl named Nita. Nita was Joke’s ex, and now she is the crush of Zo.
While Zo is a studious boy, Joke is his polar opposite, a cool dude, a singer with an unmatched aura. Now despite his dislike, Zo approaches Joke to win over Nita’s love. Joke grabs the opportunity to help him, but his heart has other plans. What are his true intentions? Find out!
Hidden Agenda Episode 1 Recap
We are introduced to our two main characters in the most fascinating way. In the recording studio, Zo is seen recording a love story of two rabbits. The story is somewhat similar to his own life. Pat, his friend, sleeps, and now Joke enters the studio. He notices that Pat is sleeping, and he lets him know that it’s his time to record now. Pat leaves, and Joke sits and listens to Zo.
When he comes out, he thinks he’ll find Pat there but has an encounter with Joke. He tells Zo that he has taken five minutes extra from his reserved time and he will have to pay for it. The two are super close, with Joke leaning onto Zo, who’s pinned to the wall. Pat comes in and notices the two. Now, in the next scene, Pat, Zo, and Kot are searching for books when Zo collides with his crush Nita.
His friends start teasing him. During the entire quiz time, his eyes are stuck on Nita. Three of the friends discuss on the bus how Zo should make his next move toward his crush. While one idea is to buy her a beverage, the next one is bizarre: asking Nita’s ex, Joke, for help. The joke is also present there, and he overhears the conversation. He asks Zo if he needs help, and he says that he will manage.
He goes on to buy coffee for Nita, but Joke suggests that she doesn’t like coffee, but he likes roselle juice. So if Zo buys him one, he will help. Zo tells him to mind his business and goes ahead with the coffee. Suddenly, Pok startles him, which spills the coffee and ruins the posters. Now, wave tells them about how their debate club has been losing a competition for three years, and this time they need to win.
Post this, Zo, Pat, and Kot visit a bar, and while drinking, they see Joke and Nita together. They wonder if the two have rekindled. Joke sings a song dedicating it to people who have a crush but can’t admit it. Soon after, Zo starts throwing up in the bathroom, and Joke tries to help him. When Zo is not ready to listen, he grabs him by his waist, and the two share a cute moment.
When Joke helps Zo on his way out, he asks the former why he is getting between him and Nita. He thinks that he doesn’t want him to pursue her, and that’s why Joke is getting back with her. Zo is disheartened as he thinks he is not cool. Joke tells him that if he thinks he’s not worth Nita, he should give up. An enraged Zo punches him and leaves. The next day he repents for his actions and asks Joke for forgiveness, to which he refuses.
Zo starts following him around, and then Joke tells him that Zo needs to punch himself in order to be forgiven. When he tries to do so, Joke blocks his punch, saying he has changed his mind. The two get back to the studio, where Zo applies ointment to his wound. He asks Joke if he and Nita are back together, and he denies it. Then Zo requests him to help win her love.
The joke agrees but with a weird condition. Zo has to drink half a bottle of Roselle juice, and Joke will drink the rest half. Zo agrees. Their deal is on, but Joke asks for something more. He wants to be a part of the debate club to stay close to Zo.
