After collecting several wins, the Blue team stands tall in this new season of Hell’s Kitchen. With only 9 more chefs left, Gordon’s going to be bringing in famous personalities to make the challenges more exciting and intense.
Fox’s show Hell’s Kitchen hosted by Gordon Ramsay, revolves around competitive cooking, where chefs all over America try to showcase their skills and get a chance to win huge cash prizes, fame, and much more.
The 22nd season started with 18 diverse chefs from places like Maryland, Florida, NY, Mississippi, and other states. Every episode of Hell’s Kitchen has these inspiring chefs going through creative and tough tasks that demand patience and skill.
Winners of the team challenge are given a reward, and the losers are punished. All of the challenges usually take place at Gordon Ramsay’s Las Vegas restaurant, which goes by the same name, “Hell’s Kitchen”.
Recap
Right at the beginning of the episode, Atoye is shifted to the Blue team. The challenge of the day was to use the $100 given to them wisely and create a dish that would sell for a high price. The profit margin had to be high, so the chefs started picking up expensive proteins and other ingredients from the pantry.
Many of the chefs had a hard time coming up with ways to elevate the dish; Donya’s New York strip steak wasn’t pleasing to the eyes, and Atoye almost served the judge burned shallots. When the timer finally ends, Suzanne Goin shows up to taste each of the dishes.
The best dish of the night was Jonathan’s pork chop. Atoye went with something simple like chicken thighs and thought she could increase the price by cooking it perfectly. However, that doesn’t happen, and the team to win the challenge is Blue Team.
Gordon comes in and lets the Blue team know that they can spend some time at a fun trailer park in Joshua Tree, while the Red team has to stay back and churn butter. For the service of the night at Hell’s Kitchen, the special VIP was Daniel Mac, an influencer who was celebrating his birthday at the restaurant.
The Blue team wins twice last episode, and the elimination round soon begins. The ones to be nominated for elimination by their teams are Sandra and Tonya. After Sandra served cold wellingtons twice, she knew was the weakest in the team. Seeing her nominate herself was the final tick that Gordon had to hear before eliminating Sandra.
Spoilers
The remaining contestants will have to impress Gordon and the other judges by balancing cooking and gymnastics. Crazy combination indeed, but with Olympic champion Jordan Chiles being the one to guide the chefs for the next episode, it will be exciting to see how the teams work through it.
Chef Evan Funke, a James Beard nominated chef, will be the guest judge to taste 4 signature Pasta dishes cooked by the teams. When dinner night at Hell’s Kitchen begins, VIPs like Gold medalist Alix Klineman and Kel Mitchell show up, putting the chefs in a hectic & messy situation.
