The Winds of Anthos will be released on September 26
The game was initially teased on December 26, 2022, with a crossword puzzle hinting at the new addition, followed by a night sky screenshot with no other context. This would make you curious, wouldn’t it? Building up the anticipation, Natsume Inc slowly revealed the game’s location, spelling out “Anthos” one letter a day from December 8 to December 13, 2022. Finally, on December 14, 2022, the logo was unveiled, leaving fans eager for more information.
Natsume announced the “Week of Anthos” in March 2023. This event featured a series of daily reveals, treating fans to insights into the game, including new screenshots, gameplay details, and hints about both new and returning features. The platforms for the game were announced between April 6 and 8.
A special edition of the game will be released by NIS America. This exclusive version will feature a Sleepytime Cow plush, the game’s soundtrack, a collector’s box, and a lapel pin set.
The Plot
Anthos was a peaceful and harmonious land, safeguarded by the Harvest Goddess and the Harvest Sprites, who protected its people from natural disasters. However, a severe volcanic eruption occurred many years ago, threatening to eradicate life on Anthos. To save the people and animals, the Harvest Goddess and Harvest Sprites used the last of their power, resulting in the isolation of different villages, and some unfortunate individuals were left stranded outside their villages.
The Harvest Goddess hoped that the villages and people would eventually be reunited. She sent out a bottle containing a letter and a magic key before entering a deep sleep. Now, after ten years, you have discovered the SOS message in a bottle, representing the Harvest Goddess’s call for help.
With the help of your inventor friend Doc Jr. and others, you are to revive the Harvest Goddess and the Harvest Sprites while bringing the villages of Anthos together again. To help you in your mission, Doc Jr. has created the Expando-Farm, a farming device. It lets you cultivate crops anywhere, from mountains to beaches, and allows you to explore all around Anthos effortlessly.

The Gameplay
Players can explore the world of Anthos, which consists of five unique towns, each with distinct seasons, terrain, and villagers. They have the freedom to travel around Anthos on foot, horseback, or by using other “mounts” while on a journey to find Harvest Wisps, wild animals, mines, and various other treasures.
Natsume introduces same-sex marriage with the feature of marrying anyone of your choice, five different bachelors or bachelorettes; this makes the game very personalized. You can take care of various livestock, including cows, sheep, chickens, and more. Keeping a large range of animals on your farm can earn you bonuses and benefits. Additionally, pets like cats, dogs, parakeets, wolves, and others can be owned and cared for by the player!
You can also take selfies and photographs with the game’s new camera feature and participate in contests and festivals. The gameplay is a relaxing and mood-pleasing experience, and no doubt gamers will spend time farming and relieving stress through this game.
