Harry Styles and Taylor Russell have ended their relationship after less than a year of dating. They kept their romance private throughout their time together, and neither has publicly commented on the breakup.
Rumors about their relationship began in June 2023, but they never addressed them publicly.
“I’m never going to be volunteering all of my feelings,” Taylor told in an August 2023 interview, shortly after she and Harry were seen holding hands in London.
“I’m somebody who, annoyingly, complicatedly, needs things to be asked and pulled from me to talk about it.”
The 29-year-old continued,
“But even then, I’m like, ’I’m sorry, is this too much? Is this too much?’ So I need a partner who is going to do that, or else it’s never going to work.”
Despite keeping their love lives private, Harry Styles and Taylor Russell’s actions hinted at a close bond.
Taylor danced along to Harry’s performance at one of his shows last July, and Harry showed his support by attending both the opening and closing nights of Taylor’s play in the West End.
They were spotted together in Las Vegas in November enjoying a U2 concert, and in January, they were seen bundled up in matching black coats during a casual stroll in London’s Hampstead neighborhood.
Taylor’s preference for a quiet lifestyle likely influenced her and Harry’s decision to avoid making red carpet appearances together during their relationship.
“If it’s not for work, I’m not somebody who is going to be at things purely because I have anxieties in the ways that I do, in the ways that we all do, which is not unique,” she told, adding that he often has to remind herself that “you have to open up and allow people to know you.”
Taylor Russell described trust as a significant aspect of her life, acknowledging that life involves taking risks and potentially getting hurt. She emphasized that experiencing pain is inevitable and likened it to a “tax” of life when forming personal connections.
Taylor added,
”The tax on a real relationship is the reality that you will get hurt, you will [have] grief, something will be lost at some point and that’s OK. It’s worth it.”
