Gwen Stefani received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her husband, Blake Shelton, her three sons, and her family gathered on Thursday to celebrate the Grammy-winning singer from No Doubt and “The Voice” coach.
Her star was unveiled on the sidewalk in front of the recognizable Amoeba Music store during the ceremony held at the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Several well-known music industry figures praised her incredible career as an artist prior to Shelton taking the stage to honor his wife. He said that her talent was something she was born with. It’s important to remember that Shelton got his star on Hollywood Boulevard in May.
“Not as much as me, though,” he joked, showing how much he loved Gwen and how she has consistently achieved the highest level of success with her unique style that has captured the attention of the world.
Blake Shelton’s speech left Gwen Stefani in tears.
Gwen Stefani’s husband, with whom she has been married for two years, showed his appreciation for her accomplishments at the event, citing them as both personal and professional. He even went so far as to refer to her as “the greatest songwriter in history.” Gwen got emotional as he was talking and occasionally wiped away tears.
Looking back on their first meeting in 2014, Blake Shelton said he could tell right away that Gwen’s primary focus was being a mother. Considering that it has been almost ten years since they first met, he said with confidence that being a mother is still the most important thing in her life.
“I would like to emphasize that this is an unusual situation in the entertainment industry,” he continued. Shelton, ever the comedian, joked that it’s a joy to see her receiving recognition for her side project, which just so happens to be becoming one of the biggest names in the world.
More about Gwen Stefani
The American singer-songwriter Gwen Stefani is a very talented musician. As lead vocalist and primary songwriter for the band No Doubt, she was instrumental in the formation and development of the group. “Just a Girl,” “Spiderwebs,” and “Don’t Speak” are a few of the notable singles from their ground-breaking 1995 album “Tragic Kingdom.” Hits like “Hey Baby” and “It’s My Life” were also released on their later albums.
Taking a break from her band in 2004, Gwen Stefani launched her solo pop music career with the release of her first studio album, “Love. Angel. Music. Baby.” The album was well-received by critics and became a commercial success. It was inspired by pop music from the 1980s and had six singles, such as the well-known songs “Cool,” “Rich Girl,” “What You Waiting For?” and “Hollaback Girl.”
As the first song to sell one million digital copies in the US, “Hollaback Girl” made history by peaking at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Furthermore, well-received songs like “Wind It Up” and the album’s title track, “The Sweet Escape,” which peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 year-end chart, were included in Gwen Stefani’s 2006 second studio album.
“This Is What the Truth Feels Like,” Gwen Stefani’s third album, debuted impressively in 2016 by taking the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart—a noteworthy accomplishment for her first solo album. Her fourth solo album, “You Make It Feel Like Christmas,” which was released the following year, was noteworthy for being her first full-length Christmas album.
Notable is the fact that songs from this album appeared on Billboard’s US Holiday Digital Song Sales component chart in nineteen different positions.
Furthermore, Stefani and Blake Shelton worked together on a number of singles, including “Nobody but You” (2020), which reached its US peak at number 18.
Stefani was named the 37th most successful Hot 100 artist and the 54th most successful artist of the 2000–2009 decade by Billboard magazine. On their “100 Greatest Women in Music” list from 2012, VH1 placed her at number thirteen. In light of her tenure with No Doubt, Stefani has sold over 60 million records worldwide overall.
