Google has launched an exciting new interactive game inspired by the hit show Squid Game, allowing fans to experience the iconic “Red Light, Green Light” challenge.
This browser-based game, released on December 26, 2024, coincides with the premiere of Squid Game Season 2 on Netflix, offering an engaging way for users to connect with the show’s intense atmosphere.
To play, simply search for “Squid Game” on Google using either a mobile or desktop device. Once the search results appear, a brown gamepad icon will show up at the bottom of the screen.
Clicking this icon takes players into the virtual version of the game, where they encounter Young-hee, the giant doll from the series known for catching players who fail to follow the rules.
The objective is to guide six virtual characters, dressed in green tracksuits just like the contestants in the series, to the finish line.
Players must carefully navigate the game by pressing the blue button to move forward when Young-hee is not looking, and stop by pressing the red button when she turns around.
Failing to freeze in time results in the elimination of the character. If all six characters manage to cross the finish line, the game ends with a burst of confetti and the famous Squid Game soundtrack playing for those with audio enabled.
This fun, interactive feature arrives just as Squid Game Season 2 makes its debut on Netflix. The sequel continues the gripping story of Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae), raising the stakes and adding more intense challenges.
The show promises more shocking twists, new and returning characters, and high-stakes drama as the contestants compete for the ultimate prize.
In addition, Netflix has confirmed that Squid Game Season 3 is in the works, set to release in 2025, which will bring the saga to its thrilling conclusion.
Fans of the show can now immerse themselves even further into the world of Squid Game with this fun and nostalgic online game.
