Manos and Dran ended on good terms after their match in Goodbye Dragon Life Chapter 90. The fight made Manos appreciate Dran more and see how there was more to his friend than he had initially thought. This makes us curious about what to expect from the next chapter as the next fight doesn’t have that build-up.
We are given a bit of Manos’ flashback and his life before he joined the academy for mages. Due to Manos’ lack of magic ability, he was shunned by others in his family and among relatives, everyone except his father. Moreover, Dran’s father was the one that set him on the path to Golem making which helped him with many things going forward.
Dran approaches Manos for his ability to make Golem and the two then become friends down the line thus. However, the two Golem makers were now against each other in a fight to prove who was better in a tournament. Dran seems to be the one who would be on the losing end due to the size of his Golems.
Manos had an upper hand for most of the fight but that didn’t take long to change. Go-0 played the role of a leader and changed things in Dran’s favor in no time, surprising Manos. The result was Dran winning by a margin and Manos realizing his frustration, but Dran’s dignified approach helped him hold his head high.
