The Holy Empire is on the move and so is our protagonist Ell. These two powerhouses are bound to clash somewhere in the future as the Holy Empire wants to capture the Saintess while Ell wants to protect her.
A battle to protect his family members from suffering, will Ell be able to win this seemingly unwinnable battle? Find out in Golden Mage Chapter 34! Now let’s take a look at the events that led to that scenario.
Golden Mage Chapter 33 opens up with The King learning that the Saintess from the Oracle is in the Bon Kingdom. Priest Bolek says that the Saintess who will save the continent from evil was born in this very place and so this is something the whole holy empire should be happy about. The King doesn’t get convinced easily which is understandable as no one would believe such big claims without proof.

Bolek was prepared for such doubts from the King and so he already searched the nearby nations thoroughly. Bolek tells the King that he couldn’t find any trace of the Saintess in other nations which means that she must be here. The King still has doubts as he wonders if what Bolek experienced was because of the influence of the Nation’s barrier but that seems rather unlikely.
The King thinks of how powerful the holy empire would become if the Saintess was here. Although the Holy Nation is almost similar in army strength and area coverage as other nations, it still holds one of the ten grandmasters. The addition of the Saintess to such a powerful force would mean that no nation would be able to stand against the holy nation.
The King asks Bolek how he could help and so Bolek explains that they only need a guide to bring the holy Knights to the Oracle’s land. The King inquires about the Oracle’s Land as he isn’t aware of it and so Bolek explains it is a place near Levettan Plateau with a rugged terrain. The King realizes that the journey to the Oracle’s land would be quite dangerous so he asks Bolek to leave the next day so that he can prepare for it.
The King then leaves Bolek and returns to his room. While on his, he wonders if the Saintess is related to the magic master and this makes him curious. The King calls for Decilon and asks him to connect him to the magic communication line of the magic tower.
On the other side of the nation, Ell and Cilfir finish setting up the barrier over the Manticore Valley and end their 1-year hard work. Ell tells Cilfir that the barrier is created in such a way that if anyone other than him or her tries to disrupt its mana flow then several limits will be applied to them. Furthermore, no one can manifest their powers fully while inside the barrier.
Elise commends Ell on his hard work when suddenly Kaina arrives at the scene to inform Ell about an incoming magic message call. Ell realizes that this is something serious so he immediately teleports to the call. Cilfir feels anxious because she also realizes that something is wrong.
Ell picks up the magic call and meets the King. The King greets Ell but he ignores the greets and directly asks the King if the Holy Nation demands something from him. The King gets shocked by Ell’s quick thinking and so he asks Ell if he’s acquainted with the Saintess. Ell tells the King that the Saintess is with him but he does not intend to give her up because she’s a part of his family.
Ell further adds that The Saintess was once a slave and she left that hellish life by joining Ell’s family. He says that even her mom won’t be happy with giving her up just because she has holy powers. The King tells Ell how dangerous it is to against the Holy Nation but Ell responds by saying that he can handle it as long as the King maintains neutrality on this matter.
