Girls’ Generation (SNSD) member and solo artist Tiffany Young has found herself highlighted across online communities following public comparisons between her thoughtful interaction with a visually impaired content creator and past behavior exhibited by paraplegic YouTuber Park We.
The online discussion surfaced after netizens re-examined a previous video featuring Park We alongside visually impaired YouTuber Oneshot Hansol, contrasting his actions with the considerate guidance and warmth Tiffany Young displayed toward the same content creator.
The focus shifted toward Tiffany after Oneshot Hansol shared a heartfelt update on social media detailing his recent encounter with the idol.
He recounted that upon meeting, Tiffany immediately offered her elbow- demonstrating a proper understanding of how to physically guide a visually impaired individual- and shared encouraging compliments about his appearance.
Additionally, she expressed genuine empathy regarding accessibility challenges, such as unreadable Braille labels on beverage cans and missing bus voice announcements, while also singing directly for him and sharing an unreleased track.

Contrast with Park We’s Resurfaced Video and Ongoing Backlash
The praise surrounding Tiffany’s attentive approach brought renewed scrutiny to a November 2022 video featuring Park We on Oneshot Hansol’s channel.
In that footage, Park We was seen watching Oneshot Hansol navigate a outdoor camping area independently while making remarks such as,
“How are you able to do this when you can’t see? I’ll be watching you here,” and questioning whether he could actually see while peeling shrimp or starting a fire.
While initially perceived by some as playful banter between friends, netizens reassessed the interaction as insensitive and mocking in light of recent controversies surrounding Park We.
The contrast between the two interactions quickly gained traction online, with commenters highlighting Tiffany’s considerate conduct as an example of genuine respect and disability awareness:
“She immediately held out her elbow when we first met, showing she knew how to guide a visually impaired person, which surprised me.”
Oneshot Hansol further expressed his gratitude for her empathetic attitude:
“I asked Tiffany, who had known my face before I lost my sight, about my current appearance, and she said ‘You look even prettier.’
She empathized with the fact that the Braille on the drink can only says ‘drink,’ and the bus doesn’t give voice announcements… It was a pleasure to be with her.”
Re-evaluation of Past Content and Shift in Public Perception
The comparison comes during a period of sustained public backlash for Park We, which initially began after he released CCTV footage showing himself falling after tripping near a public service worker while disembarking a KTX train.
Despite an apology from the worker on-site, his decision to post the video publicly drew criticism, prompting an apology from Park We and leading to a drop in his channel’s subscriber count below one million.
As netizens continue to re-examine past videos across social media, Tiffany Young’s proactive awareness and respectful demeanor toward the visually impaired creator have stood out, earning widespread praise from fans and online observers alike.
