The future of the Ghostrunner franchise remains uncertain, but new comments from the series’ creative leadership suggest the cyberpunk action series is far from closed. While the studio behind the games is currently focused on new projects, the possibility of Ghostrunner 3 or even a spin-off has not been ruled out.
In a recent interview featured by Insider Gaming, Szymon Bryła, a key figure at One More Level, revealed that the team has already explored ideas for continuing the series. He said,
“It would be awesome, we would probably even have a few ideas for a worthy conclusion to the trilogy or a spin-off.”
However, Bryła also made it clear that any continuation depends entirely on publisher approval. The Ghostrunner intellectual property is owned by 505 Games, meaning the final decision does not rest with the development team alone.
Despite strong fan interest and ongoing discussion around the series, One More Level is currently prioritizing its new title Valor Mortis. Still, Bryła’s remarks confirm that internal brainstorming for future Ghostrunner content has not stopped completely.
The studio’s comments reflect a broader industry reality where creative direction and IP ownership are often separated. While ideas for Ghostrunner 3 or spin-offs exist, their future depends on whether 505 Games chooses to greenlight further expansion of the franchise. For now, the series remains on hold, but not officially concluded.
