Soldier Boy will be making a cameo in the next episode, and it’s just crazy. Yes, you heard me right: Soldier Boy will make an appearance in Gen V Episode 6. Now, I don’t know how Soldier Boy will return. Because we know that he was locked up to sleep by Vaught at the end of The Boys Season 3, let’s see how he makes an appearance and what he will do in the next episode.
Gen V Episode 5 provided some clarity on why Episode 4 cuts a black right at the last moment. With the group thinking that it was Rufus and one of my initial theories pointing the finger at Rufus too, it turned out that it wasn’t. There was a twist in the tail, and there was another monster lurking in the shadows, and that was Kate.
Gen V Episode 5 Recap
Before diving into Gen V Episode 6, let’s quickly recap and review the previous episode. Why did Kate do the memory wiping? So, in the final moments of the episode, we saw that it was revealed that Kate was the person that was behind the memory wiping. And she was the reason why everybody forgot what happened in the build-up to going to Cardoso’s house and the battle with Sam.
The group could not only remember that night, but they also had blank spots in days where they couldn’t remember a thing, which showed that she eradicated parts of their memories which were specifically focused around the woods and looking to uncover it, showing that you’ve been working with Shetty for a while.
We also found out that Kate had been using her powers on Luke, Golden Boy, when he was alive and making him forget about his brother Sam, who was locked up in the woods at the time—something which Sam revealed to Emma, which ultimately blew Kate’s cover.
This is something that explains why Luke had those visions over Word sent a voice calling to him in a dream, a voice which at the time sounded alien to him. It was almost his subconscious overriding Kate’s powers and letting him know that his brother was there.
So that was an initial clue that Kate had been willing to wipe the memories of people that she was close to. At the time, she was the only person around who would have been able to have done that. Even after Luke begged her to do it, she said no, most likely due to the guilt that she felt.
So, it shows that she knew that it was even morally wrong to do it back then. A lot more happened in previous episodes, but now let’s discuss when Episode 6 of Gen V will be released and what will happen in it.
