GATE – Jieitai Kanochi Nite, Kaku Tatakaeri Chapter 125 is going to be the latest addition to the Action-Fantasy-Adventure Manga. The story follows the First Lieutenant of the Ground Self-Defense Force of Japan, Itami Youji, on his adventures in another world. If you thought this was an Isekai story, then you would be wrong. The premise is rather unique.
One day in the middle of Tokyo City, a Gate opened. And from the said gate, an army walked through. It was an invasion force. Youji, who was on his way to an anime convention, quickly took charge.
He was able to evacuate the citizens and avoid major casualties. The Invasion force was pushed back, and Japan, with the help of the USA, formed the JSDF.
After about three months of scouting, the JSDF makes its move. Their success was almost imminent. The Empire’s primitive weapons could not defend against JSDF’s Guns & RPGs.
They were able to set up a base successfully and were even able to form good relations with the natives. Even though the natives didn’t trust the JSDF at first but they quickly warmed up to them.
Youji finds several allies in his travels, like the Apostle of Emroy, Rory Mercury, Lelei la Lalena, who is a Mage, The Princess of the Empire, Piña Co Lada, and an Elf Girl, Tuka Luna Marceau.
After learning that the Empire could not win against the JSDF, peace talks were initiated. However, not every country was on board with Japan’s decision.
After much fighting and backstabbing, things have finally come to an end. Proceedings have started to close the gate for good. As always, not everyone is on board with that decision either.
We also know that Youji is recovering in the hospital and that the girls are trying their best to convince him to stay back in the empire once the gate closes.

To ensure Lelei’s safety till the gate closes, Metomesu had her drugged. He plans to have her delivered behind the gate for the time being as he believes that’s the safest place for her.
She is the key to closing the gate, after all. They have placed her in what seems to be a delivery box and had Meia write the return address on it. Meia is visibly uncomfortable with the deed.
However, Metomesu convinces her that this is the best thing for Lelei as Zorzal could attack them again. The scene then shifts to Ricci’s Garrison.
We see radio transmissions from the Fighter Jets that have successfully destroyed both the City Gate and the Garrison. At the moment, they are in Pursuit of a wyvern who’s giving them a lot of trouble.
Little did they know, they were being led straight into a trap. Count Podawan gives the order to start the counter-offensive. The JSDF had no idea what they were walking into.
They started dropping steel nets on top of their Helicopters. The net gets stuck on the wings stopping their rotation and causing them to crash. The JSDF is having a hard time keeping up.

Without the Helicopters, the JSDF will have a tough time defeating the enemies. Their massive air support is what gave them the upper hand in battle all this time. They have to figure out something fast, or they just might get wiped out.
The surviving members must team up and salvage what they can. It’s not clear how many can survive or even if they have any surface-to-air weapons on hand.
