Game of Thrones season 8 episode 2 is out and it was simply awesome. The episode kicked off with Jamie Lannister being questioned by Queen Daenerys Targaryen. Jamie was saved when Brienne when she vouched for him. Sansa believed her and thus Jamie was saved. After asking Bran Stark why he didn’t tell anyone what Jamie Lannister did to him, he replied he is now the Three-Eyed Raven and not Bran Stark, they also need any man they get in order to defeat the dead.
Arya Stark shocked the world when she forced herself on Gendry and they had sex. This was shocking for fans because of the character of Arya. She seems disinterested in these things but this shows that she is human after all. Brienne has now been knighted by Jamie Lannister. Theon has arrived at Winterfell and Sansa embraces him with all her love.
She seemingly has some feelings for Theon. Fans don’t understand how she is attracted to him as she can certainly do better. Sam offered his sword to Jorah. Bran revealed that Night King will come for him and the humans should use him as bait. Bran seems to have told Tyrion who he really is. In the end, we saw Jon Snow reveal to Daenerys Targaryen that he actually is his nephew Aegon Targaryen.
Daenerys Targaryen is shocked and her first instinct is that he is lying. That could not matter in the end as the White Walkers are already at the doors of Winterfell and the war is about to begin.
So, in episode 3 we’ll see the first war of the final season of Game of Thrones. The hype has now increased even more after another astonishing episode.
The preview of the next episode has been out there already and Winterfell will be destroyed in this episode. Jon’s sword, Jamie’s hand and Arya’s needle all seem to be in ruins while Nighy King marches on. Well, the only bad thing about the second episode was it ended. I certainly wanted to submerge in the world of Game of Thrones and stay there forever.
Hell, even I want to fight for Winterfell. This is the result of an awesome story, awesome direction and awesome acting. We are certainly going to miss Game of Thrones when it ends. The episode deserves at least a rating of 9/10. 1 point it loses because it had no action which is understandable.
