Akuya Seo is an ordinary high school student with a secret—he loves anime made for girls. As an otaku, he enjoys watching cute and heartwarming shows, but he feels embarrassed to admit it. In a world where people often judge others for their hobbies, Akuya keeps his love for “anime for girls” hidden from his classmates. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when he starts spending time with two popular girls in his class, Amane and Ijichi.
One day, Akuya somehow ends up hanging out with Amane and Ijichi, two fashionable and outgoing “gals” in his class. He never imagined he would get close to them, as they seemed like the type of people who wouldn’t understand his interests. At first, he tries to act normal, afraid that they will make fun of him if they find out about his secret otaku side.
However, as they talk more, Akuya notices something surprising—Amane seems to recognize references from anime he likes. At first, he thinks it’s just a coincidence, but then he realizes the truth: Amane is also an otaku! She has been hiding her love for anime just like he has, afraid of being judged by others.

After discovering their shared secret, Akuya and Amane slowly become closer. They begin discussing their favorite anime in secret and even recommend shows to each other. For Akuya, it is a huge relief to finally talk about his favorite series without fear of being laughed at. Amane, too, feels happy to have someone who understands her passion.
Meanwhile, Ijichi, who is not an otaku, watches their growing friendship with curiosity. Although she doesn’t fully understand their obsession with anime, she supports them and even gets interested in their discussions. Over time, the three of them form a unique and unlikely friendship.
As the story progresses, Akuya starts to realize that he doesn’t have to hide his hobbies forever. With the help of Amane and Ijichi, he learns that it’s okay to enjoy what he likes, regardless of what others think.
This heartwarming story is about friendship, acceptance, and learning to embrace one’s true self. It shows that sometimes, the people we least expect can become our greatest allies.
