Gadar 2- Premise
The sequel begins with a bang, and the viewers get to glimpse the flashback from the blockbuster film released in 2001. After the glimpse is over the viewers meet with Iqbaal, the major general of Pakistan threatening the Hindus to convert their religion.

The film moves forward to the present i.e., after 17 years of the original event of Gadar. The film moves forward, and the viewers are introduced to an aged Tara Singh and Sakeena living in India and enjoying their love and companionship with each other. The romance between the couple is still alive as Tara isn’t interested in leaving his beloved wife behind.
Tara believes his son is sweet, innocent and stays away from film and acting as Tara wants his son Jeete to do well in life. In a comical turn of events, Tara returns his son from the theatre he was acting at and informs his wife that their son has been skipping college for ten days.
Tara decides that it would be better for Jeete to continue his study at a boarding school in Chandigarh, but his wife refuses his idea. Tara soon learns that there are chances for the two countries to go a war once again due to the rising situation. Tara’s son Jeete demands a bike from his father, but he refuses his request initially.
But Tara surprises his son on his birthday with his dream bike, and the fan-favorite son, “Mein Nikla Gaddi Leke,” begins to play in the background. During an ongoing battle on the borders, Tara is instructed to deliver supplies to the soldiers. At that moment, Major Iqbaal arrives at the border and sees Tara as his prey, and orders his battalion to retreat.
After the team responsible for providing supplies on the border returns, Tara’s family notices his absence. Tara’s family believes that the Pakistani soldiers have imprisoned him. Tara’s son makes the decision to go to Pakistan to rescue his father from the clutches of Pakistani soldiers.
Jeete is captured by Major Iqbaal and tortured under his command as Iqbaal wants to take revenge on Tara for the forty soldiers who lost their life during Tara’s escape in the previous film. Tara returns to India with no harm and learns that his son went to the other country to rescue him.
Tara hurriedly leaves with no plan to save his son from the hands of Major Iqbaal. Tara takes help from his friends residing in Pakistan to rescue his son. After he arrives in Pakistan, Tara confronts Hamid before helping his son in escaping from a public execution. After the escape, the father-son duo separates but reunites after the two get help by Muskaan’s family.
Did Tara Rescue His Son And Returned To India?
Meanwhile, as Tara and Jeete spend time at Muskaan’s house with her family, Jeete starts falling in love with her. Muskaan is a Pakistani Muslim girl with a kind heart and beautiful doe-like eyes. To make Tara beg for mercy, Major Iqbaal captures Muskaan’s family and some soldiers from India.
Iqbaal kills Muskaan’s brother and orders Tara to submit before him with his son and Muskaan. Tara refuses to surrender, and with help from several other Indian soldiers, he can escape with his son and Muskaan after a brutal fight with Iqbaal. Iqbaal isn’t ready to give up on Tara and chases him until the pair reaches the Indian border.
This allows the Indian army to get a hold of Hamid and hold him at gunpoint. Tara decides to spare Iqbaal’s life, but the latter attempts to end Tara’s life anyway. This action of Iqbaal gets him gunned down at the hands of Indian soldiers. The film ends blissfully, with Tara and Jeete returning to India in triumph and reuniting with Sakeena.
