Along with that, we also find out that the fruit that they have right now is the fetal shape of the Yan Ji. Cheng Ying’s mother was favored by the old Flames back then with an unborn Flame Fairy, and that is how the Fire Tribulation Fruit saved her life.
Chen Ying’s mother’s soul didn’t die and the reason behind that was because instead of her it was the sacrifice of another life. That is also the reason why she stayed on top of the mess. It was for gratitude so that she can protect the arrival of the next life.
