Percival’s grandpa tried to cheer him up by praising him for his strength. Because he had to wrestle Percival for real, they went to the spring to do the dishes after their garden session.

Percival was very excited after getting complimented. Percival’s grandpa could not believe how he was growing so fast because, in his eyes, he was just a baby not long ago.

He suddenly remembered while doing the dishes that the next day was Percival’s birthday. He was going to turn sixteen.

Percival did not remember his birthday, or that’s how he liked to pretend in front of his grandpa. Percival’s grandpa told him that since he was turning sixteen, he was almost a grownup.

Percival was excited to have drinks with his grandpa. But his grandpa told him he was still not quite grown up for that, so he took Percival to the top of the cliff.

Percival thought that he was going to get some kind of early birthday present. Percival’s grandpa told him he was almost a grownup and gave him the option to leave God’s Finger. He suggested he go on long adventures across the world, but Percival did not show any excitement to leave God’s Finger.

Percival’s grandpa was a bit surprised since, when he was sixteen, he left his home for many adventures. He was not sure why Percival did not want to leave and hit the road just like him. He assumed that something was wrong with him. But Percival told him he wanted to stay in God’s Finger because he had tons of fun every day with his grandpa.

He told him about the land beneath their mountain, called Britannia. He shared tales about many exciting adventures and mysteries.

But none of those tales excited Percival; he was keener to catch skyfish for dinner. Percival’s grandfather told him his father was very keen to go on adventures when he turned sixteen. Percival’s grandfather believed that he might be lonely from living in isolation.

On the morning of Percival’s sixteenth birthday, a knight visited God’s Finger. The knight met with Percival and asked him about Varghese, who was his grandfather.

The knight introduced himself as an old friend of his grandfather, and he asked Percival for directions to his house. Percival led him towards his house and decided to take a look at his boat. But before leaving, the knight mentioned that Percival’s grandfather had been raising him without telling the truth.

Percival got a bad feeling about the knight, so he decided to follow him to his house. The knight’s arrival put Percival’s grandfather on alert.

The knight mentioned that he had been searching for him for sixteen years. The knights believed that Percival’s grandpa betrayed their master and fled the town. They broke ties with him because of his betrayal. The knight came there to put Percival’s grandpa to death

But before he could harm his grandpa anymore, Percival jumped into their fight, even though his grandpa suggested Percival leave. He did like his suggestion; he decided to protect his grandpa against the knight with all his might.
