In the previous episode, we witnessed a surprising turn of events as the seemingly human elder revealed that the village was shielded from Ardd, who is Ardbeg, a Holy Knight of Camelot.
Ardbeg unexpectedly seals the village’s demons within a magical Amber of the Four Archangels, linking them to the Holy War against Britannia sixteen years ago.
Despite claims that these demons avoided the war, Ardbeg recognizes Percival as one of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse, turning against Anne and the group. He unleashes a mystical beast named Cernunnos, controlled by Ardbeg, leading to a fierce battle.
Nasiens pulls off a cunning plan by drugging Cernunnos, which forces Ardbeg to hide out in the Crystal Grotto.
There, Ardbeg turns Percival’s crew into babies with his Reverse magic. Just as Ardbeg is about to deliver a deadly blow, Anne’s sobs cause unexpected feelings to come out.
Recalling the terrible demise of his daughter during the Holy War, Ardbeg fails in his resolve. When the elder of the Demon Clan steps in, the scenario takes a complicated turn that leaves viewers wondering about the true nature of the demons and their involvement in the Holy War.
Let’s see when episode 14 of Four Knights of the Apocalypse is going to be released, the timings, and where to watch it.
Recap
In the 13th episode of “Four Knights of the Apocalypse,” Percival and his comrades, including Donny and Sin, go to Dalflare Range. They come into a strange community with people who have frozen smiles on their cheeks and black eyes while traveling.
Unaware of the danger, Percival and Donny carelessly enter the community through a magical barrier. It surprises them when the people greet them with such warmth. However, Sin is put to sleep by the village elder’s sorcery.
Nasiens and Anne are stopped from entering the settlement by a local hunter named Ardd, who informs them that the people are monsters hiding in plain sight.
Being unable to pass through the magical barrier on his own, Ardd volunteers to assist Nasiens and Anne in rescuing their companions. After finding out that Ardd’s young daughter, Connie, was abducted by monsters, Anne chooses to put her trust in him.
Anne and Nasiens enter the village as directed by Ardd, smashing an idol to shatter the magical barrier. The peasants are shocked to find themselves transformed into Demon Clan members. They seem amiable and submissive, even though they are demons.
The village elder, who appears to be human, tells them they have been spared from Ardd. But Ardd eventually confesses to being Ardbeg, a Camelotian holy knight.
He reveals that because the village’s demons were involved in the Holy War against Britannia sixteen years prior, he locked them in a mystical Amber of the Four Archangels.
Ardbeg turns against Anne and the others after realizing that Percival is one of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse. He gives Cernunnos, his magical beast, the order to strike. When Sin awakens, he helps Percival use his sword and magic to shatter Cernunnos’s antlers.
Cernunnos is deceitfully drugged by Nasiens, causing Ardbeg to withdraw to the Crystal Grotto. There, he transforms Percival’s crew into babies with his Reverse magic. While they are in this vulnerable position, Ardbeg intends to murder Percival.
But when Anne starts crying, and he remembers his daughter Connie dying in the Holy War from a demon attack, it shakes him to his core. Ardbeg is confronted by the Demon Clan elder as he juggles his mixed feelings.
As a result, the spectator is left wondering about the actual nature of the demons and their role in the Holy War, adding another level of intricacy to the tale. Ardbeg’s internal conflict gives his persona additional nuance and demonstrates that his tale is not as simple as it first appears.
At the end of the episode, Ardbeg is torn between mourning himself and accepting responsibility. The intricate plot’s turns and turns open the door to new revelations and challenges in the continuous “Four Knights of the Apocalypse” story.
Ardbeg feels horrible about sealing the demons, so he tries to harm Percival’s group by turning them into newborns. However, he has emotional problems when he is reminded of his daughter’s death from a prior demon attack.
When the elder demon approaches Ardbeg and discloses more details about their past, the narrative thickens. As the episode draws to a close, Ardbeg finds himself torn between responsibility and feeling, setting the stage for future surprises.
