Former President Donald Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, on Saturday, to express his frustrations regarding various legal battles he’s been embroiled in. In a series of posts, he targeted judges, gag orders, and legal adversaries, including New York Attorney General Letitia James.
He specifically mentioned Judge Juan Merchan, and Judge Lewis Kaplan, and referred to a “mysterious lady” who accused him of sexual assault, likely alluding to E. Jean Carroll.
Trump’s posts didn’t stop there; he also criticized Judge Arthur Engoron, whom he referred to as a “whack job.” Despite facing multiple legal challenges, Trump maintained his combative stance, likening himself once again to the late South African leader Nelson Mandela.
This comparison is not new for Trump, who previously declared at a rally that he didn’t mind being likened to Mandela because he believed he was fighting for a just cause.
The timing of Trump’s social media tirade was notable as it came just before a fundraising event at Mar-a-Lago, his private club in Florida.
The event was anticipated to raise a record-breaking $43 million, showcasing Trump’s continued influence within certain political circles and his ability to rally substantial financial support.
Trump’s use of Truth Social, his own social media platform, to air his grievances underscores his ongoing efforts to maintain a public presence and communicate directly with his supporters, bypassing traditional media channels.
Despite facing legal challenges and controversies, Trump remains a prominent figure in American politics, with a significant base of loyal supporters who continue to rally behind him.
