It’s official now. Recently, Seo Sarang made the news of her divorce from Lee Jung Hwan on her social media. The former Kpop singer also accused his ex-husband of domestic violence. As the title suggests, their legal battle has now finally come to an end. What happened?
Seo Sarang is a former Kpop singer who made her debut with the girl group- SUS4 in 2015. It later became the H2L. Not to mention, she also served as a member of Melody Pink. No doubt, people loved to listen to her distinctive voice.
In May, Seo Sarang and her long-time husband (now ex), Lee Jung Hwan, appeared on the reality show- Between Marriage And Divorce. One must note they also share a daughter, who was born in 2019.
A couple of months after the wrap-up of the show, Seo Sarang alleged Lee Jung Hwan of domestic abuse, which the latter naturally denied. But, things were not so easy as he accused her of having an extramarital affair.
Not just that, Lee Jung Hwan also shared that the singer drove a vehicle under the influence and smoked marijuana. There were a lot of allegations made against each other. But now, their legal lawsuit has concluded.
Seo Sarang And Lee Jung Hwan Divorce: Everything To Know
On 2 November 2023, the former Kpop singer Seo Sarang made her divorce announcement official on her Instagram account. She initiated the post, saying, “It’s finally over. A lawsuit that lasted for more than a year has come to an end today.”
Thereafter, Seo Sarang went on to say that as she received a call from her lawyer, her tears welled up in her eyes. Don’t you think it was obvious? Who would want a long-term marriage, even if it’s a relationship?
She started having thoughts in her mind, questioning herself why she had to go through certain things at this early age when others might or might not face them. On this note, Seo Sarang wrote, “There were times when I felt resentful of the world.”
However, Seo Sarang admitted to having become stronger than before, because of the experiences, of course. She said, “I think I’ve matured enough to love both the good and bad experiences in my life.” Despite her divorce from Lee Jung Hwan, she doesn’t have any regrets about their marriage or even welcoming a kid.
The former Kpop star, Seo Sarang, seemed to have concluded her marriage on a positive note. She said that she would “make the second act of her life even more splendid by designing it well based on the lessons learned from the first act.”
In the aforementioned reality show, as Seo Sarang and Lee Jung Hwan made appearances, people thought that there was a possibility of their reconciliation. In reality, it didn’t. Moreover, the blame game started right after that.
Things between them turned so ugly that Seo Sarang even shared that her then-husband, Lee Jung Hwan, suffered from an anger control disorder. Following the alleged violence, she shared having scars and bruises on her face. It swelled a lot.
Talking more about the situation, Seo Sarang said, “I was holding a baby because I had come in late after having dinner with the staff, but I punched him in the face, laid him down, and hit him without mercy.” On the other hand, Lee Jang Hwan shared that initially, he thought of suing the man with whom she had an affair at the time. But, when she changed her attitude, he forgave her.
Well, don’t be disappointed. Not all marriages are meant to be eternal. Even though there was love initially, they ended up having issues in the later days. It’s all good now, as they decided to part ways—best wishes to both Seo Sarang and Lee Jung Hwan.
