Former idol Ahreum, known for her bravery in disclosing her husband’s alleged child abuse and domestic violence on social media platforms, has emerged from a recent suicide attempt. In an update shared on her social networking service (SNS), Ahreum announced her return to consciousness following her hospitalization.
Expressing her determination to address the spread of misinformation, Ahreum affirmed, “I’ve already reported child abuse. It’s quite the experience to regain consciousness and see all sorts of things. I will sue those who spread false information.”
The incident, which occurred on March 27, marked Ahreum’s distressing struggle amidst her ongoing divorce proceedings with her husband, who is also the biological father of her two children. Allegations of child abuse and domestic violence against her husband have been central to her public disclosures.
In addition to these challenges, Ahreum asserted through her SNS that her identity had been compromised, leading to unauthorized financial transactions affecting herself, her family, and associates.
Meanwhile, former entertainment reporter Lee Jin-ho brought forth evidence regarding Ahreum’s boyfriend, identified as A, who purportedly solicited monetary assistance. According to Lee Jin-ho, A claimed Ahreum was pregnant, hospitalized, and under significant stress, while also indicating a need for urgent surgery due to financial constraints.
These revelations by Lee Jin-ho have sparked scepticism regarding Ahreum’s decision to resort to social media rather than pursuing legal avenues to address her husband’s alleged misconduct.
Amidst the complexities surrounding Ahreum’s situation, her recovery from the recent suicide attempt offers a glimmer of hope. However, the unfolding events underscore the need for a comprehensive examination of the circumstances and a concerted effort to ensure her well-being and pursuit of justice.
