AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead has left viewers confused and curious after last week’s episode 6, where a mysterious person seems to be preparing to meet Madison. While some fans have proposed many theories, there’s a big clue as to who this person’s going to be.
Airing on television since August 23rd, 2015, Fear The Walking Dead is the 2nd series that’s based on Robert Kirkman’s comic books. It began with events that happened before the original The Walking Dead series, but later on, started to showcase events that happened concurrently.
In the beginning, the show mostly revolved around Madison Clark and her blended family trying to survive in a world where civilization had completely collapsed. By the 4th season, Fear The Walking Dead mostly centered around Morgan Jones as he comes across survivors in Texas. The 8th season of this AMC series has been airing since May 14th, 2023, and will be ending by November of this year.
Fear The Walking Dead Season 8 Episode 6: Recap
The episode begins with Morgan finally coming back to his senses after experiencing yet another “Red Jump”, a subconscious state of mind where he starts killing anyone that’s in front of him, regardless of whether it’s a walker or a human being. The person he first sees is Madison, as she tries to calm him down and get him to talk about what happened before she arrived at the place.
Morgan wants to stop Mo from boarding the ship, so he and Madison try and find Mo before that happens. He tries to use a walkie-talkie to let her know that “what matters is the people that are still with us”, which were words said by Rick Grimes. However, Mo is fixated on the task given to her by Shrike.
She is told to find a walker within the swamp that has binoculars around its neck. This walker was Shrike’s father who worked in the military and had the coordinates of the place that would be the best location for starting a new community. Mo arrives at the houseboat that had previously almost drowned her and Morgan but she is surrounded by walkers.
Morgan saves Mo but after entering a red jump, he gets stabbed by Mo (non-fatally). Morgan later wakes up to find Mo and him in the houseboat and they were now cornered by walkers. He tries to convince Mo to leave him and save herself, while letting Madison know about the houseboat’s location.
Just before passing out again, Morgan lets Shrike know that he is with the walker that has the binoculars. He wakes up next to Madison this time and is furious that she didn’t go after Mo. As they’re talking about this, Shrike arrives and holds them at Gunpoint. The walker, who was her father, arrives at the place and Shrike breaks down in tears. She lets her father bite her, but he is later killed by Madison.
Shrike is taken in by June, but despite wanting to give her a slow death, she makes it easy for her and even lets her brother meet her as she dies. This was requested by Finch (Dwight & Sherry’s son), who sadly passes away later. Madison and Morgan decide to go separate ways, as Morgan wants to find Rick Grimes and Madison wants to stay back and help the PADRE kids find their families.
Fear The Walking Dead Season 8 Episode 6: Ending Explained
Fast forward to the end of the episode, we see that Morgan and Mo give Grace and the others a proper burial. Morgan has a flashback, which implies that this is the last we’ll see of him on Fear The Walking Dead. However, the real surprise comes as Madison talks on the radio, informing potential surviving parents about PADRE’s downfall.
A person seems to be noting down the location that Madison gives out in case the parents want to meet their children. This man, who knows Madison, picks up sunglasses and a hammer as he gets ready to go to the location that Madison gave out.
The survivor also has Alicia’s infamous prosthetic arm (that she made out of her bones) with him and sunglasses that could have been Victor Strand’s. With the recent rumors that Daniel Sharman will be returning to Fear The Walking Dead, this person is likely going to be Troy Otto.
Jeremiah’s son and Jake’s half-brother, Troy had supposedly *died* after Madison bludgeoned him in the head with a hammer. However, after Season 8 Episode 6, there are chances that he might have survived. What’s confusing is the way he has all of that stuff with him, especially Alicia’s hand, as we were hoping that she somehow was alive.
To see Troy returning to Fear The Walking Dead will be exciting, as he was Season 3’s biggest antagonist. Now that Madison’s planning to reunite all of the PADRE kids, she has conveniently given out her location for him. While this rumor hasn’t been confirmed, it’s highly possible that we might see Daniel Sharman return to Fear The Walking Dead.
