Korean Pop is filled with a variety of boy and girl groups with different concepts. But some groups are not yet achieved much success and need the recognition they deserve.
Favorite is a South Korean K-Pop girl group. It was created under Astory Entertainment and debuted with their first album, My Favorite, on the 5th of July, 2017. The group released their first Japanese single album Catch Me, on the 6th of November, 2019. Favorite is a girl group of six members, including Saebom, Seoyeon, Gaeul, Sugyeong, Jeonghee, and Ahra debuted together in July 2017. Let’s get to know more about these talented girls in detail.
Saebom
Kim Se Young, popularly known as Saebom, was born in Gwacheon, South Korea, on the 13th of January 1995. She has the position of Lead Vocalist and Rapper in the group. Saebom completed her education at Seoul Performing Arts High School. She enjoys watching mukbang or eating shows. She is the eldest daughter in the family. Saebom is inspired by Taeyeon from Girls’ Generation and Zico from Block B.
Seoyeon
Kim Min Ju, popularly known as Seoyeon, was born in Gwacheon, South Korea, on the 26th of November 1995. She has the position of Vocalist, Lead Dancer, and Visual in the group. Seoyeon completed her studious at Hanlim Entertainment Arts High School and Konkuk University of the Department of Theater and Film. She was once trained under JYP as a trainee. IU and Park Hyo Shin are her inspirations. She was a part of the MIXNINE as a contestant and ranked 26th.
Gaeul
Park Ga Eul, popularly known as Gaeul, was born in Seoul, South Korea, on the 8th of May 1999. She has the position of Leader, Vocalist, and Main Rapper in the group. Gaeul completed her studious at Goyang Elementary School, Department of Practical Dance from Seoul Performing Arts High School, and has a major in broadcasting and entertainment from Dong-A University of Broadcasting and Arts.
Other than being a K-Pop idol, she has a knack for practicing ballet, nail art, making dolls, and drawing pictures. Gaeul participated in the survival show Produce 101 and ended up at rank 52.

Sugyeong
Jo Su Gyeong, popularly known as Sugyeong, was born in Haenam, South Korea, on the 12th of January 2000. She has the position of Lead Rapper, Vocalist, and Main Dancer. She is inspired by the Girls’ Generation (SNSD). Sugyeong looks a lot like Seulgi from Red Velvet.
Jeonghee
Go Jeong Hee, popularly known as Jeonghee, was born in Incheon, South Korea, on the 11th of March, 2000. She has the position of Vocalist in the group. Just like Seoyeon, Jeonghee also participated in the survival show MIXNINE but got eliminated in the 10th episode. Her inspiration is APink’s Jung Eunji.
Ahra
Go Ahra, popularly known as Ahra, was born in Yeosu, South Korea, on the 21st of February 2001. She has the position of Main Vocalist, Maknae, and Center of the group. She looks up to Suzy from Miss A. Ahra was an ex-contestant of K-Pop star 6 and also MIXNINE and ranked at 21st spot. She was the last member to be introduced in Favorite.
Albums of Favorite
Favorite debuted on the 5th of July, 2017, with their first Extended Play, My Favorite. The title track of the album was Party Time. The following year, they released their second EP, Love Loves to Love Love, on the 10th of May 2018, with the lead track titled Where Are You From?
The group came up with their third EP, Loca, on the 15th of January 2019, and the title song was Loca. Later that year, they dropped their first single album titled Catch Me on the 6th of November 2019. The lead song was Catch Me. Through this single album, the group debuted in Japan on the 6th of November, 2019.
Favorite has released five singles, Party Time in 2017, Where Are You From? in 2018, Loca in 2019, and LIE in 2020. Since making their last comeback with LIE, the group has not put out an album or single.
