“Fast & Furious 10” is a hot topic for all franchise lovers as the rumors surrounding the tenth rendition are spreading across the internet. It has been more than a month since Fast & Furious 9 came out, and fans just can’t wait for part 10. Confirmed to be directed by Justin Lin, Fast & Furious 10 has officially been confirmed. The film will take us to the finale of the franchise. While many believe that the series does not need to end, the star of the franchise, Vin Diesel, feels otherwise. According to him, all good things must have an end. And according to him, the Fast series has done just enough to deserve a good ending. Therefore, the upcoming films will act as the finale for the franchise.
Fast & Furious 10 will be the beginning of the final chapter in the franchise. This should mean that we might get to see several characters from the previous parts of the movies. We saw Jakob, Dom and Mia’s long-lost brother, getting reunited with them in the previous film. As the siblings reconcile, he has joined the family again. Along with this, we saw Han speaking to Shaw. This could mean that Fast & Furious 10 may have a plot that has something to do with both Jakob Toretto and Deckard Shaw. So, let’s check out everything we know about Fast & Furious 10.
Fast & Furious 10 Release Date
“Fast & Furious 10” is set to be released in February 2023. According to earlier reports, the film was supposed to release on 2nd April 2021. But as the COVID-19 Pandemic struck the world, the release date for the ninth film got delayed. Subsequently, Fast & Furious 9 took the release date of Fast & Furious 10. But as the situation did not get any better, Fast & Furious 9 was further delayed to 15th June 2021.
John Cena’s stuntman later revealed that the final part for Fast & Furious would be released in two parts. Vin Diesel later confirmed this as he revealed the two-part finale to begin filming in January 2022. He even mentioned how the final two movies would have a lot of ground to cover during this. Tyrese Gibson later encrypted this message, who confirmed that Fast & Furious 10 and 11 would take place on several continents. He even went on to say how the final two parts will be filmed back-to-back.
“F9” was filmed in five months. This means that if the two parts are being filmed back-to-back, along with the repeated changes in geographical locations, the rumored release date for Fast & Furious 10 fits the criteria. This could mean that the final part of the series, Fast & Furious 11, will most likely be released at the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024. Considering both the films will be filmed back-to-back, the chances of 2 Fast & Furious films in 2023 is highly likely.
Who will be in the Cast of “Fast & Furious 10”?
Very well, as we all know, no Fast & Furious film could work without Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto. Joining him Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz and Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce. Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and Nathalie Emmanuel may also reprise their roles as Tej Parker and Ramsey. At the end of Fast & Furious 9, we saw Han speaking to Deckard Shaw. This must mean that they have a part to play in the final two films of the franchise. So, the chances are we may see Sung Kang and Jason Statham reprise their roles as Han and Deckard Shaw. We may also see more members from Dom’s family as Jordana Brewster and John Cena may return to reprise their roles as Mia Toretto and Jakob Toretto.
Unfortunately, Dwayne Johnson would not be returning to his role as Luke Hobbs as he has had a dispute with Vin Diesel. There was some spat between the two regarding the release dates of Fate of the Furious and the “Hobbs & Shaw” spin-off movie. This issue further escalated into Dwayne retracting from appearing in the main franchise of the Fast & Furious. It has not been confirmed if he would appear in the Hobbs & Shaw Spin-off sequels.
