Rhythm Heaven Groove has once again claimed the top spot in Japan’s weekly physical software sales, according to the latest Famitsu chart covering July 6 to July 12, 2026.
The Nintendo Switch title sold 126,073 copies during the week, pushing its lifetime sales to 519,451 units and comfortably leading the rankings.
Nintendo Switch dominates the latest Famitsu rankings
Nintendo platforms accounted for most of the week’s best-selling games, with Magical Girl Witch Trial debuting in second place with 21,283 copies, followed by Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, which added 20,827 sales to reach 1.45 million lifetime units.

Among other notable debuts, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced opened at No. 4 on PS5 with 17,152 copies, while Echoes of Aincrad followed in fifth with 16,092 units. Digimon Story: Time Stranger also had a strong launch, appearing on both Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Switch charts with 15,644 and 11,251 copies, respectively.
Nintendo Switch 2 exclusives continued to perform steadily, with Pokemon Pokopia surpassing 1.08 million lifetime sales and Mario Kart World nearing the 3 million milestone. The latest rankings further highlight Nintendo’s continued dominance in Japan’s physical software market.
