The chapter starts with Daehoon locating Gangrim’s camp. On his way to the fruit field, Daehoon finds Gyeoul and uses her to negotiate with Gangrim. Daehoon tells Gangrim that he can’t kill him, but he can kill his friend, so he suggests Gangrim give him the fruit in exchange for Gyeoul’s life.
Gangrim tells him if he wants the fruit, he can take as many as he wants by himself. So Daehoon sends his underlings to take the fruit. Gangrim then tells him to hand over Gyeoul, but Daehoon tells him to put down his weapon first. Gangrim cares about Gyeoul, so he throws it and goes to heal Gyeoul. He feeds Gyeoul medicine, so Daehoon tells him he didn’t poison her.
However, Daehoon soon gets his answer as he sees his underlings falling from the tree due. Before he asks Gangrim about it, he also gets dizzy. They all get exposed for too long to the scent of “fruit of all scents.” The poisonous smell of the “fruit of all scents” was spread throughout the field.
