Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 260 introduced fans to the Vibraslap, a unique instrument that Aoi Todo incorporated as a replacement for his lost left hand. This instrument played a pivotal role in Todo’s resurgence, allowing him to once again utilize his Boogie Woogie technique with enhanced effectiveness.
The Vibraslap itself is a musical instrument consisting of a ball attached to a wooden box, inside which resides a metal bar or ‘teeth’. When struck, the ball oscillates and collides with the metal bar, producing a distinctive sound. Todo ingeniously repurposed this instrument to activate his boogie-woogie technique.
Todo’s Vibraslap
Instead of the original method requiring Todo to clap his hands together to initiate the technique, the Vibraslap’s collision between the metal teeth and the wooden box serves as the new activation mechanism. Each collision generates a sound similar to the original clap, effectively allowing Todo to swap places with his target.
With this modification, Todo can execute his swapping technique up to fifty times per second, significantly increasing its speed and versatility. Additionally, Todo imposed a self-imposed Binding Vow, restricting the number of swaps per shake.
Chapter consumed, good meal like always~
Appreciate Gege using the chance to introduce new mechanics into Boogie Woogie, freshening up the technique and allowing more mind games.
Vibraslap is a great choice – looks silly at first, but works so well. Just like Todo.#jjk260 pic.twitter.com/B6MXVRvg8g— nitorenko (@nitorenko) May 17, 2024
This upgraded Boogie Woogie technique proved to be immensely effective and deceptive, catching even Ryomen Sukuna off guard. Todo’s ability to control the battlefield and manipulate Sukuna’s movements like a puppet master demonstrated the strategic advantage conferred by the Vibraslap.
Todo’s utilization of the Vibraslap led to several pivotal moments in the battle, including trapping Sukuna in layers of deception and creating openings for Yuji to land devastating attacks.
By outsmarting Sukuna and capitalizing on the confusion caused by the Vibraslap, Todo effectively turned the tide of the battle in his favor.
The Vibraslap not only restored Todo’s lost Boogie Woogie technique but also enhanced its capabilities to a level where he could outmaneuver and outwit even the formidable King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna.
