The second season of 30 Coins topped the initial story in every imaginable way. We saw Padre Vergara coming back from the dead, Elena getting out of Hell, Merce drunk in power, and Antonio shacked in a windmill. The show even gave us Paul’s Christian Barbrow.
Christian’s primary wish was to use the artifacts and 30 coins to kill all the life and start a new, fresh life. Most of the time plans like this fall, but not this time.
Ending of Season 2
Let’s begin with the bombshells, but they’re still unclear. Laguna, along with his crew, is trying to get inside a supercomputer house to keep the happening from keeping things online. Unfortunately, his life is cut short when a big fan for ventilation throws him across the tunnel.
Without him, the group fails to stop the supercomputer, completing the description.
So their journey efforts were all useless. Paco, Santoro, Elena, and Vergara reach Christian’s end-of-the-world party in Peru.
The filthy, rich, crazy man has planned to summon the god’s eye, which will demolish reality. To save himself, Barbrow tells an ancient alien UFO that he has located his followers. And the craft will keep them alive during the process of summoning.
Fight to get into the ship
Not all Christian people can certainly get into the shop. But after the fight, most of the people, including Elena, can get into the ship.
Outside, Vergara is trying to stop Christian’s UFO, something that looks impossible but is possible because of supercomputers and the spell from the evil book.
All the attempts failed, and Christians left into the new reality through the Eye of God, leaving the world of destruction behind. Paco and Elena barely survive after getting into dive suits. Santoro crosses Merche and gives up his own Judas coin for survival.
Vergara is defeated
Lucifer locates a defeated Vergara, but he is not mad at him. Instead, he tells him to go after Barbrow. This leads to the priest leaping into a shortcut to a new reality where Pedraza is brimming with new life, and the thoughts of inhabitants are different from what they were used to.
The biggest change is the joining of Vergara and Elena; they are both leading Pedraza. As of now, Coin 30 is not renewed for season 3.
It would be a terrible idea if HBO decided not to carry the show forward. If that’s the case, the show would be one of the biggest unsolved shows on TV.
It is impossible to guess where the story will head from here, looking at the course of last season. The team pursues whatever is there in their heads confidently.
Fans can expect a lot of doppelgänger fun in the third season. The last universe was a total loop, leaving the main leads into an unknown reality with alternate versions of themselves.
The big bad, Christian Barbrow, is very much alive. Will he finally be at peace or again migrate to some other place for a better life?
Potential Cast of Season 3
Season 3 has not yet been renewed, but we can expect most of the cast to make a return. Even the characters who are dead can make a comeback because now we’re in an alternate timeline.
Season 3 will bring a lot of doppelgänger fun, which means many actors will work double shifts. Some of the actors that will make a return are:
Eduard Fernández as Padre Manuel Vergara, Miguel Ángel Silvestre as Paco, Megan Montaner as Elena, Manolo Solo as Cardinal Santoro, Macarena Gómez as Merche, Pepón Nieto as Sargento Lagunas, , Javier Bódalo as Antonio, Nuria González as Salcedo, Manuel Tallafé as Enrique, Najwa Nimri as Haruka, and Paul Giamatti as Christian Barbow
Other than them, some new additions to the character list are expected because a new season always brings new stories and new characters with it.
It will be a disappointment for the fans if the show doesn’t get renewed. Let’s see what HBO is going to do. Seasons one and two are available on HBO if you have not checked them out.
