Synopsis
Our main character, Orhun, is a successful businessman who was raised in a wealthy but distant household along with his twin sister Nihan, his younger sister Nurşah, and their cold mother Afife, who feels distant from them. The twin sister Nihan has previously left their family to work as a volunteer doctor in Eritrea, but lately she has become difficult to contact. This worried her family more than anything, particularly Orhan, because she was not the kind to leave without giving them any notice or updates.
Orhun decides to track down his sister and bring her home because he is concerned about her sudden disappearance as well as her general wellbeing. Hira, a helpless young woman who has been held prisoner by human traffickers for as long as she can remember,, crosses paths with Orhun during his journey.
He is devastated to discover that Nihan was poisoned and killed by the gang that had abducted Hira when he asked her if she had any information about his sister’s whereabouts. Orhun could not pardon Hira for her actions even though she had been forced into them when it was revealed that she was the culprit who had poisoned his sister after having been set up by the gang to do so.
He couldn’t handle the shock of losing his sibling. Orhun comes up with a cunning plan of wicked retaliation: he will take Hira home with him, but he will worsen her situation rather than spare her from living as a prisoner. The situation only worsens when Orhun’s mother, Afife, reveals to her son that she misled to her children about their father’s death for years.
Orhun’s mental condition was deteriorating due to the revelation of new secrets and the death of his sister. Orhun’s desire to marry Hira intensifies in an effort to drive his mother, who despises those of lesser status and is fixated on “pure blood,” insane. Will Hira’s marriage force her into an even worse type of servitude, or will they both eventually find redemption?
