Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has claimed his second successive Castrol Golden Boot award.
Despite not scoring in Man City’s 3-1 victory over West Ham United on the final day, Haaland finished the Premier League season with 27 goals, leading by five over his closest competitor.
Haaland is the first player to secure back-to-back Golden Boot awards since Mohamed Salah achieved this feat with Liverpool in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons.
“To win the Golden Boot again is very special for me,” Haaland told Man City’s official website.
“I’m so proud to make my contribution to help this incredible team and my amazing team-mates.
“I have to thank all my team-mates for helping me to this award, and the coaches and staff that work so hard.
And a thank you to the fans who give me so much support, and I always enjoy celebrating goals with you!”
