Fans of the TV show ‘Love And Hip Hop Atlanta’ are talking a lot about the current season. There’s been a lot of drama involving all the cast members, especially Erica Mena and Spice, but one thing, in particular, caused a big reaction on social media.
Erica Mena and Spice had a big argument. Spice believed some things Safaree Samuels told her about Erica, so the conversation was already off to a bad start.
But no one expected Erica to call Spice a hurtful name when things got heated – she called her a ‘blue monkey.’ Erica has said sorry for using that language, but MTV decided not to have her on the next season of ‘LHHATL.
When Erica talked about what happened, she said that she didn’t mean her words to be racist, but she realized they were hurtful. She wants to be more careful with her words from now on.
Surprisingly, some of her fans thought that Spice should say sorry too for saying that Erica’s son doesn’t like her. In reply, Erica said that Spice would never have the courage to apologize for what she said on that day.
Spice wasn’t the only one who felt hurt by what Erica said. Kirk Frost and some of the other cast members also thought Erica went too far. In fact, they’re planning to have a discussion about Erica’s words on a special episode that will air after the season finale.

Earlier today, Erica talked about the special on her Instagram Story. She shared a picture of herself doing a green screen interview.
She shared a lot more of her thoughts on the Instagram page of the network.
Erica wrote that she believe it is completely reasonable for her to share her thoughts on this page, especially because she filmed continuously for seven months after the incident with that other person.
The network decided to keep filming with her throughout that time, which is why her story became a central focus for the second half of this season. They had this footage for a long time, and they chose how to edit and show it. Now, they seem to be in a rush to protect their reputation, and they’re using her to do that.

She added that If they are using her as an example, why was she not included in this ’round table’ talk? Why are they in such a hurry to film continuously now to make up for the footage they can’t use anymore?
They seem desperate to repair their image, but the only reason they even issued a statement was because of the negative reaction, not because they genuinely thought what she said was a racial slur.
